Self monitoring alarm (no monthly installments)

    Hi everyone,

    Just looking for some advice on a house alarm. I am looking for an alarm which can notify me ony phone if It is going off when I'm not home rather than just sound and wreck my neighbours head while I'm non the wiser. I am hoping to get something with no monthly installments.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    For a bog standard system with an app & notifications using your broadband connectio, There are plenty of options without monthly charges.
    With apps over IP most systems offer free apps & free usage. This would be dependent on you internet connection being active. Which in many cases may be reliant on mains power.
    HKC only offer a paid for option. Other systems offer free with the option to pay for other options to back up by GPRS or other paths.

    You can also install a voice dialer using your phoneline if you have one in the premises. The only fee would be a phone call if the alarm activates.
