A few grand I'd say if I counted everything lying around the house. I've a few poker chips too that tally up another grand or so but they're not that much different to bank cards.

I always carry cash on me in case I'm robbed in the street. It's better to have something to hand over instead of them going mental thinking your hiding it from them where they might do even more damage.

The banks will soon start charging for the taping. There is no escape.

About 70 in my pocket and a few hundred at home. Always carry cash, prefer it to using card most of the time.

I get a lil annoyed if I CANT tap when my transaction is less than 30. It's only 1c to tap vs 10c to pin. It's not much I know, but it irks me still.

Ideal amount in wallet €99.99.
And I always try to keep €250 for emergencies in cash at home.

That's notes = 1x€50, 1x€20, 2x€10, 1x€5.
And coins = 1x€2, 2x€1, 1x50c, 1x20c, 2x10c, and the rest in coppers.

Excess in coins is transferred to piggy bank.
Excess in notes is carried until spent.

I actually don't spend that much money atm, I don't go out drinking v often (once in 6 months) and I spend the most money on food and commuting as well my mortgage. I don't earn much but I have no dependents so I often spend it on my family and their offspring
