Voucher for weights, what size do I get?

Hi all!
I'm a 32 year old guy, pretty average sized, and was given a voucher of 200e to a place that sells fitness stuff.

I want to buy a set of dumbells and a kettlebell.

What weight would someone normally start at?

You should start at 20 kg first. Then you can gradually increase the weight. :)

Are dumbells a must for you? For €200 quid you could get a really solid home set up. But don't think I'd bother with dumbells. To cover your bigger lifts, you'd need quite a few plates. Would be weight cumbersome to be changing constantly.

OP get a 16kg kettle bell and then 20kg one. Then look up "enter the kettle bell" on YouTube. Great workout right there
