Yay! Pipped to the post by VG :)

Agreed with KF - Grecian - originally, but got waylaid by the red flag. The slouching military lads, the policeman (?) and the security fencing suggested something judicial/custodian.

    Fair play!

That was a challenge. :) I figured it was some sort of embassy by the flag and security. The no entry signs are different to the typical ones and the only possible countries that seem to have them are Spain and Greece. I started looking up Swiss embassies and consulates first based on the flag and then I tried Turkish ones.

Hmmmm, lowest-common denominator, VG: somewhere in Catalonia, Spain?

(Or some weird Sonic The Hedgehog alternate universe?)

Looks kinda Middle Eastern to me, so I’m just gonna throw Israel out there.

    Pure guess. Nazareth?

Good job, your guess is correct. That’s Mary’s Well on the right.

    You serious?!?!
    It really was a guess.
    I nearly said Bethlehem!

I'll get one up in a little while.

(I'm delighted; I only ever get to post these when someone else gives up their turn - I think this might be the first one I've actually got myself)

Looks a lot like some of the villages in the Dordogne in France. Can't quite place it though.
    La Roque-Gageac?

No to La Roque-Gageac and to the River Dordogne.

    Correct.

Behind the buildings on the right, and kinda built into the cliff, is the Musee Nationale de la Prehistoire. Those cliffs contain some of the earliest dwellings in the world. When you think of 'cavemen', that's where they lived. CroMagnon man was found a couple of hundred metres down the road in front of you.

Parallel to this road, and to the left, is the Vezere River. It is a tributary to the Dordogne. We are in the Department of Dordogne, which is why I said "No to the River Dordogne".

    Well done.
