Jump Starting Outboard on Stand.

    Hi All,
Quick question for you. I've got a Johnson 20hp outboard on a stand at the moment. Currently fitting a new fuel pump. I'm trying to start the engine up but I don't have the harness and ignition connected up.

I've got 4 connections on the solenoid: positive in, positive out, ground and a yellow and red wire which I presume is part of the ignition switch. I was able to jump it on the boat by shorting across the solenoid, but it's not happening without the harness.

Any idea how I can fire this motor up as it sits now?
