Everyone does when they're in their teens to mid twenties, as that's a very looks-based age. But I'm wondering, how many people in their late twenties onwards are still bothered by their looks and wish that they'd won the genetic lottery?

As I approach 30 my priorities have changed. Before I just wanted a girl to be beautiful but trying to have a relationship with a woman who is just good looking doesn't work. All the beauty in the world fades if she is constantly wrecking your head. Better to have an ordinary girl who is decent and quite similar to you personalitywise.

    It's a youth thing?
Personally I'm very comfortable with how I look, I'd like my teeth a bit whiteer, my hairline a little thicker, and my stomach more defined but they're all age related.
Generally speaking for my age, early 30s, I think I'm above par. Even if I'm not, my partner and I are very happy, which is what is important.

I'm married and (supposedly, according to the missus, she just dropped this one on me yesterday) middle-aged. I wouldn't know what I'd use good looks for at this stage anymore.

I do actually, but my wife and kids are beautiful so I couldn't have done any better for myself.

Some men have the ugly duck syndrome.

They get better looking with age.

I'm already good looking but who wouldn't like to be better looking? Still, there's no excuse for not maxxing out what you have which will set you above the majority of others. Things like brushing your teeth religiously and whitening them, hitting the gym, eating clean, getting a proper haircut for your face shape and wearing clothes that suit your body and skin tone will go a long way to at least be considered handsome.

Fix up the diet, quit boozing like a sailor and start a solid plan down the gym will up the ante beyond your average Joe Soap, especially if you're male.

As a female, nah you're grand thanks. I'm pretty enough to get treated favourably by most people but anything more would be a pain in the arse I think.

    Hi again,

What's the prize in this lottery?

You have a very shallow view of life.

I'm very average looking although I did once get a professional hair and makeup job and I was amazed at how good I looked. I'd love to look like that all the time but I haven't the time or money or inclination.

I don't know if I am good looking or not. But I guess its beside the point. I just wish to have fruitful life, and that the person who loves me sees more than just my face.

I'm handsome / photogenic etc but am short (169 cm) and now bald (but the look suits me).

At my age (39) I do sometimes wish I was taller and that I'd kept my hair. Do these thoughts consume me and weigh on my mind - not really tbh. It's just an occasional flash through my mind, but nothing that gets me down.

I'd be mad to even attempt to answer that. Lots of women are better looking, lots of women are worse looking is about as mathematical as I can be about it.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

I think there is a face, good looking or not, that get's intstantly accepted everywhere it's owner goes, seriously if you think about people who were bullied at school or are deemed 'basketcases' or 'eejits' in the workplace, there's nearly always something appearance or face related that the sort of cowards who hide in groups latch onto.

Got my gal, my beautiful children and stunning grandchildren, so why would I have ever wished to be better looking?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway.

I already have the ladies throwing themselves at me as I walk down the street, if I was any better looking I'd need a bodyguard.

The older I get, the less I give a sh1te about how I look. I have never had time for make up, nails and tan being more of a t shirt, jeans and runners girl. I can scrub up well enough when I have to. Once I am clean with clean clothes that is enough for me. I would rather people liked me for me and not for how I look anyway.

Fifteen years ago, I was passable and had a flat stomach.

Then, I started drinking again :(

    I'm an average person.

I'm also, now, a National Site of Physical Devastation! :pac:

I look fine but need to put more effort in. I'm not bothered with plastering myself with makeup every day and I hate hairdressers so that's a problem.
