I used be before 6, now I'm after 6! Its only 30 mins but psychologically feels more normal to wake after 6 I think!

    After 9am
About 9am, and in work for 10am. I have a big dislike for the coffee fuelled school run rat race before 9, it's absolutely bedlam on the roads.

I'm lucky to have a job that is flexible and doesn't insist on the dated industrial revolution norm of 6/7am starts for everybody.

    I get up around seven
    Get outta bed around nine
And I don't worry bout nothing
No , cause worrying's a waste of my time.

    After 9am
Need a bigger time frame as for me it varies between 8am and 9am depending on various different things. Some times can be after 9am if work is quiet or there was a feed of beer the night before etc.

Even setting an alarm before 8am gives me the shivers never mind actually having to get up before that, I simply couldn't do a job that expected me to be up before 8am regulalry or had a strict start time etc (aside from the odd time you might have a 9am meeting or something which is fair enough).

Whenever the kids get up tbh, but I can get out of bed at 8:15 and be at my desk after a shower around 8:55

    8:30am.

I hate getting out of bed. I wish one of those people that justs jumps out of bed at 6 am but I love my sleep so much and that getting up is one of the hardest parts of the day.

Maybe If I forced myself to get up early for a few weeks I would get used to it? Who knows.

I usually get up an hour and a half or 2 hours before I have to work. I dunno how some people just jump out of bed and go, mental carry on!

Up at 5 and at my cubicle for 6am. Luckily I live in the loft above the office which my boss graciously provides for me and deducts 50% of my salary for.

I'm allowed turn on the heating in winter a whole 10 minutes before he arrives at 9am. I leave after him which is usually 8pm as he likes to sit and eat an apple while watching me work after 6pm for 2 hrs.

Some days early, some days late.

Some days I don't get up at all.

I'm one of the mental people.

Up at 5.45, a 5 min shower, out the door a couple mins before 6.

Its literally 13 mins from alarm to key in ignition. The other 8 mins covers dying off, brushed teeth, dressed, pat the dog on the head, grab my bag (that sounds bad but its not a hand-bag, its a bag with my lunch and sometimes notes for work),
and grab a bottle of water for the drive.

On Saturdays/Sundays I still wake at 5.45. But usually I lie there and imagine what I would be doing in the ensuing 13 minutes and I could lie there for 2 hours thinking how great it is to NOT have to do the same that day.... Bliss.

7.30AM - Tue and Thur, non gym days

Easier in Winter than Summer, I never feel fully asleep in the Summer.

I start at 7.15am 99% of the time...

I can get away with 7.30 if some eejit has crashed and delayed things. That would be my official time. (self employed so they're our opening hours)

Scientists say settings alarms to wake us from sleep is bad for our health.

Something about our ancestors naturally waking or something.

Not wanting to derail the thread but I always set an alarm and without fail I am awake at least 5 or 10 minutes before it goes off, even if I set it at different times during the week. Anyone else the same?

I feel much better when I wake before the alarm. Being groggy and bing lifted out of it by the alarm.... no so good!

I'd safely say 80% or more of the pre-6am votes are self employed people. And the figure would be higher only most of them aren't home from work yet :)

I get up at around 5am. Bus is at 6:15 and there's a 20 minute drive to get there.

I've got so used to getting up at this time I can't sleep in at the weekends I'm wide awake at around 5 or so.

Alarm set for 06:45. I wake up straight away and am straight on the phone checking news, boards, facebook etc. I still snooze the alarm and get up at 07:12 (it just happens to snooze in 9 min intervals). I'm in the office at 08:00.
