After last weekend it is back 2 back F1. The last two race weekends looked like an easy opportunity for Hamilton to gain points on Vettel, but he lost out twice, so he needs a win this weekend.

Just watching the drivers press conference. Jesus, the press were relentless with Lewis with questions about his absence from London last night. :p Except Andrew Benson of course who informed him he wouldn't be asking him about it.

The question about Vettels birthday party was hilarious. Kvyat was asked was he washing his hair and Danny Ric chimed in that he saw an invite for the Torpedo, what happened! I don't think Kvyat got the joke.:D The whole thing would have been horrendously uncomfortable without him.

Fingers crossed for a Lewis victory this weekend.

Ferrari a second down despite being on the softer compound. Pretty ominous, especially when they supposedly have a significant engine upgrade this week.

It's only free practice, and the temperatures are cooler today than expected for Saturday & Sunday. I wouldn't read too much into it just yet

    From the Met Office website:
Friday will be fine and dry for practice with light winds and afternoon temperatures reaching 19°C.
Qualifying on Saturday will be more cloudy, with a little drizzle possible. Temperatures will rise from 16°C around mid morning to 24°C by mid afternoon.
On Sunday drivers can expect a humid, mostly dry day with some sunshine. Temperatures will rise from 18°C mid morning to 25°C by mid afternoon.

Wasn't Vettel running a shield or cockpit in FP1? Might account for part of it?

Vettel just did one installation lap with the shield. Then it was taken off for the rest of the session.

I would love to see Williams do well here this year. It is there 40th anniversary and there home race.
Did anyone notice the new sponsor that Torra Rossa have on there car? I think personally it ruins the lovely paintwork of the car and would have looked better on the Red Bull or the Renault cars.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Bottas will get a five place grid penalty due to a gearbox change.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,906 ✭✭✭Joeface

Should they change penalties to be on the constructers for engine and part changes. And leave driver penalties to in race offences.

Alonso getting two new engines and 30 places grid penalty.

Wow, haven't seen Louise Goodman in ages (she's in the pitlane on C4). Last time remember seeing her age was reporting on the BTCC. Good to see her, brings back memories of the ITV days (the fonder ones!).

Mixed conditions could make for interesting qualifying and grid... Hopefully

Nice moment there, the red bull warning Max of yellow flags in a sector, and Max reporting back they were for him going off

That was a squeaky bum moment for Danny Ric

EJ was adamant that Petronas were leaving Mercedes and now Mercedes are announcing a multi year extension to the sponsorship. They tweeted it and now Toto gets to rub salt in the wounds live on C4.

Without Bernie to feed him EJ's rumours are nothing

Excellent stuff if it works, in fairness he's not exactly got anything to lose! Hope he makes it to the flag, it's going to be tight!

Some lap by Alonso showing even under extreme pressure he is still the master. Great to see him on with the fastest lap even if he has a 30 place grid penalty.
