same as that, got the BTR02011. tried to pair with an old dock and couldn't pick it up on my phone. the dock is very old, ill try another one
Popped it into a 5yr old Bose sound dock. Didn't see it on phone initially. Turned off/on Bluetooth and there she was. Perfect.

Got mine today. Hooked it up to my Phillips Dockinf station . Paired with my iPhone but the music will not come out through the sound system . Tried a different one and still the same issue .

I had problems with my Luv doc.... and found that I had to ramp up the volume on the dock to get sound. Ramped to a level 24 out of a max of 36 on the dial!!

Strange as the icon showing at the top of my iPhone when it is connected is a headphones icon. I don't have the head phones in and also have the sound up max on both devices

I have had this issue with Spotify and a different bluetooth speaker intermittently. Started working again, never got the the bottom of it.

With this AKAI device my iPhone shows headphones symbol and plays bluetooth to speaker. Maybe try shutdown the music app, restart bluetooth and connect, restart app. Or then restart phone.

At six euro delivered this is still very good value. It is Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR and works very smoothly with none of the disconnection/re-connection issues of the older Bluetooth 30 pin adapters or cheaper Bluetooth line–in receivers.

I bought two at 1 euro each and free delivery.
Using it on my old iphone clock radio dock to stream UK radio via my phone. Its the Biz!
    Thanks OP

Would this work for TV to allow Bluetooth headphones connect to it?

No this is a Bluetooth receiver, you'd need a Bluetooth transmitter

You need this device if you have a stereo with an old iphone/ipod connector and no longer have an old iphone/ipod

I bet a lot of people would love one, but are unaware that these adaptors even exist

I bought a second hand 1st generation Bose sound dock hoping to convert to Bluetooth enable using this device but alas I think I have come a cropper as the Bose seems to have some intelligence regarding power on and does not power on for this adapter. Research suggests a different adapter may work.:(

I've the second generation sounddock and it works perfectly with it.

Then I've a very old iPod dock and it won't work at all with it.

I think I remember reading previously that it's something to do with older iPods (and therefore docks) being made for firewire rather than USB

I've the 1st Gen (the one without the 3.5mm AUX) and it works perfectly. I had previously hacked the dock and installed a LINE IN which also works fine connected to Chromecast Audio/spotify
