God help anyone in Carrickmines, FC would have you think it's in the North Pole the way Damo is going on. Sure it's a half an hour away max! Oh, but I forgot every job/flat/pub has to be a stone's throw from Carraigstown road.

Damien must be afraid of going Southbound on the M50!

Ama had that coming with a long time!

They have done all they can with those 2 characters I would feel too. Caoimhe and Damian are the most unlikely couple: absolutely nothing in common. An age gap of 20 years (he is in his mid 40s surely and she is mid to late 20s). I don't think they take into account the ages of half these characters when pairing them up. Damian was a grown man well into his 20s when he came into it first so about 45 now. Caoimhe clearly was a second year student who dropped out when in it first so that would make her around 27 now.

It is time for more interesting characters than these to get a look in. Some new characters and a revival of some older ones (Sylvester Garrigan, Lucy Mallon, even Barry O'Hanlon) and maybe bring in some new character, a relation of Billy Meehan.

No Damien was 20 around 1999 when he came into it, he's not that old but a good 10 yrs on Caoimhe. The reason i know Damien's supposed age, about 38, is i looked up stuff on his character a few mts back when we had an age query. He ran off with Suzanne and was working for Frank, the mustachioed painter who Dolores had a bit of a thing for, back in 1999 and was just out of school.

Copying the Bobby/JR lift scene from Dallas where they went in as enemies and came out chummy.

Trigger is like a yo yo, he's in, he's out, he's in, he's out, he's in, he's out, christ too night.

Beware of having a break up if you live in carrigtown, the whole place will butt there big noses in your business giving you legal advice when there not qualified too.

They could have done a very emotional scene with trigger and carol in the lift,"I forgive you da" "I'm sorry carol for being a **** dad" and he could have died in her arms, very sad but no.........A new plan is now in place too assassinate greasy head LOL.

One minute your wan can't stand Mondo and now she's looking in his eyes like a love sick puppy, CRINGE!

Why would a pic of an Ma fighter in his shorts go viral?? Is it the first pic of a top less man on the internet?

Triggers back in, that'll last an episode.

Tommy remember Wayne's nipper "Junior" is your son and Caoimhe he's your brother!!!

Pete didn't know who Teigs was when he came in, 5 minutes later he's Trigger this, Trigger that.

Jesus what absolute crap. Disjointed nonsense that's completely detached from any semblance of reality. I'm out.

Pure crap, Can anyone tell me whats Cathals vendetta against Robbie .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,378 ✭✭✭BuilderPlumber

Cannot understand what this Trigger is about. One minute he seems to genuinely want to make amends with Carol. Next he is plotting with Cathal about getting revenge on Robbie. Then he wants to kill Robbie and Cathal wants nothing to do with this. Surely they could have done without yet another cancer story though and have a plot involving a Trigger/Cathal revenge against Robbie with no cancer?

Has he ever stepped outside of Carrickstown? Can he even drive? Does he have a car?

He did in the past! He had a car years ago.
He also had a van that he slept in when Suzanne was abusing him.

He'll have to figure out where he last left it so. No car or van parked outside his house recently AFAIK. I hope she does head off with Saoise. No harm for one of them to step outside the Pale.

The one time he did step outside Carrigstown he got a sh*g off the gorgeous Neassa so surely, surely he would realise stepping outside the domain carries far more potential than living in a world where gets physically beaten or emotionally put down by the women in his life and worse still exposed to constant verbal rows with local hot head Pete !

Jaysis donkey, you must have done something terrible to get a long ban!
Even Trigger, no matter how many times he's been thrown out, is back groaning and making faces on Carol's sofa within three days.

And a walk outside of town may improve his posture- no wonder hes all hunched up and cramped looking, walking the same length of road the last 2 decades!

Not a fan of the current 3 main stories. This Damian/Caoimhe one is just predictable. In the real world, those 2 would never be a couple. When she gets the job, I at first thought I heard CARRICKMINES. Then with Damian making all the fuss, I assumed I must have misheard and assumed it must be Carrick on Shannon (Leitrim/Roscommon) or Carrick on Suir (Tipperary). But NO I did hear right and it is Carrickmines! Literally a few minutes on the Luas!! Cannot see the big fuss with Damian but that's the sort of thicko character they have written him as.

This Trigger story would be better if they left the cancer out of it. Cannot see why Cathal hates Robbie so much (Robbie and Thomas Flynn had a dispute I know but Cathal's hatred seems to go beyond that but not as far as wanting him dead). Watching Trigger rolled over in pain every episode is disturbing and we could do without that. Trigger is a wasted opportunity. Better use could have been made of the character. Instead, they reintroduce him and we learn he is dying of pancreatic cancer. We are fully aware that the cancer will not kill him. Most likely, he will be killed by Carol to save Robbie's life in some struggle.

This Pete v Bob feud is silly. These type of stories add nothing and is just another excuse for having Pete fight with someone.
