    Hi,

Is 18 weeks sufficient time to train for the marathon? I'm at 5k stage.

    Thanks,
    M

Most Marathon training plans are 16 weeks long and assume you are starting from running 5k three or four times a week. If you want to just complete the Marathon without aiming for a specific finish time you might be okay but it might be better to build a good solid running base for a year before going for the marathon (to reduce risk of injury). The athletics forum will have good advice for you too. Good luck!
