I just found out, Zapals code does work.
You have to login to make it work. Similar prices.

Is this a good cheap smartwatch? Is the app reliable / it syncs properly etc?

Yes, I would say so, I've had no problems. I got one for about €20 last month. Started using it on 30th May and the battery is only down to 34% from the first charge. Could last till mid July at this rate :)

I just got one of these yesterday. Cost me €19 and it syncs OK with my iPhone. You can have it vibrate when you get notifications and phone calls. The only small criticism so far (and for €19, I shouldn't complain) is that unlike other smart devices, it doesn't say who the text messages or phone calls are from. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it for that price. Only took two weeks to get here from Gearbest with free shipping.

My gf just set hers up last night. You have to allow permission to access contacts when asked then it will display names.

It didn't ask for permissions when I set it up first, but I deleted the app and installed it again and the firmware updated (which it didn't on initial setup) and now it's showing the names. Thanks pal, I wouldn't have bothered looking at it only for your post ;)

Yep- displays name of incoming calls/text on iPhone 6. Pedometer isn't exact, but other than that it's a great little device!

Just used the Banggood code just there and it's still working. (I logged in to my account when I used it.)

Love their product description - "the new algorithm, more accurate"; "customized alerts to nudge to move"; "Power-dficial ADI accelerometers"; "this product is just life waterproof,  water damage can not be guaranteed"

Cheers OP, it's cheap enough so I've just ordered one myself. Any apps I ought to download for it? (I'm on Android).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,808 ✭✭✭rizzee

Going to order one this week. What's the best apps for it?

I've a s7 Edge, would it easily sync to it and would it sync it's data (steps etc) alongside it's own app and my Samsung health app? Thanks

It supposedly shipped on July 5th

    Still waiting for delivery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,177 ✭✭✭kindalen

Id allow up to six weeks for delivery form a lot of chinese sites, anything quicker is a bonus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 957 ✭✭✭Trevord

For me delivery times have improved a lot in the last few months.

Now getting stuff from China from Aliexpress in 3 weeks or thereabouts.

Got a Chinese order from Gearbest in a little over 2 weeks.

Me too. My last ones were 3 weeks which is excellent. I'm planning on ordering a lot for Christmas now and putting it all away

They supplied tracking with mine(up to a point).

Shipped on July 5th. Eventually landed in Ireland July 23rd.
Still waiting for final delivery tough.

Mine arrived today but doesn't work.
    Display is dead. Won't charge.

Trying to contact Banggood on their god awful website. Have to upload a photo or video but when I do it won't let me send!! Tried in work and at home.

I've owned a few Xiaomi products and this is the first I've had an issue with. I'm ****ing disgusted with Banggood and the inability to contact them

I have never had an issue trying to contact them, but to be fair, i usually do it a later hours, that may make a difference.
Uploading a photo is the same as it is on adverts or donedeal, it sometimes may bug out with browser/scripts etc. You can also email it to them if you are not able to use their uploader.
As soon as they see it, they will offer you a refund or a replacement.

I know how to upload a photo(not meant to sound smart even though it may do) but their contact page is the problem. The photo is uploaded and the form ready to go but when I try and send it, it either hangs forever or just keeps asking for a photo even though there's one attached.

I'll see if I can find a general email for them and try that route. It's not a high value item or anything so that's not what has me annoyed really. It's the clunky awkward option they have for contacting them if you have a problem.

I had just edited as you posted. I did not mean "as easy as adverts or donedeal" i meant it is the same or similar :)

They also have facebook messenger. https://www.messenger.com/login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.messenger.com%2Ft%2FBanggoodFashion%2F%3Fmessaging_source%3Dsource%253Apages%253Amessage_shortlink

I think their email is: cservice@banggood.com

Hey just for reference the first charge mine didn't turn on until it was fully charged so might not be dead.

Worth leaving it charge overnight if you haven't done so already

Tried this on Banggood but got error message that it was limited to first 1000 or so. This was about 2 days ago. They must have gone through a rake of orders. If another code comes up could someone post it on this thread.
    Cheers,

Does this work with MapMyRun or RunKeeper ?

I don't think it does but in the app for the Miband (Mifit) you can track your run using the GPS on your phone. This means keeping your phone on you when you run but it seems to work ok for me. You can try using the app before committing to buy a Miband. It will track your distance and estimate calories burned but may not be as accurate as it won't be reading your heart rate or steps taken.

This is available from BangGood for €14.41 using code mi32bd2.
Had bought one for the missus as she was looking for a fitbit type device to count steps & track sleep. Really impressed with the battery life on it so buying one for myself now.
