Hey all, Is anyone doing a PhD in TCD with scholarship from ORC? I am just wondering in terms of buying a laptop, do you buy it yourself or does the college buy It? (I want to start looking at good ones and I don't want to waste my time)

Ask your supervisor perhaps? It will be different for each department. If you want to keep the laptop and use it after your PhD , maybe consider buying it yourself, there are ways to buy a laptop through the Iprocurement system, but they are for a limited range of Dell laptops.
