I follow a lot of american fitness people on different platforms and I see that a lot keep to a small eating window, as in eat all their food within one 8 hour window.
This seems to be effective for fat loss. Check out Dr Sarah Solomon .

IMO it's effective because your meals are larger and therefore more satisfying; you're squashing all your meals into a smaller window. It's popular among bodybuilding youtubers etc as they can increase intake around workouts, ultimately the weight loss and it's sustainability is down to your calorie intake.

Intermittent Fasting is a tool for controlling calories. Smaller window for eating means you should be less likely to overeat. But that's all it is.

You can still overeat on your 8 hour window.

5:2 is the same principle and I've seen people and get no results because they made up for the 2 low-calorie days across the other 5 days.

So yeah, you still need to be conscious of your caloric intake

Track your calories, don't bother with all the sexy diets that people push. Once your calories out > calories in consistently the weight will continue to go down

Sounds like the answer to your question is in the question. You have already found a diet that you stuck to for a significant amount of time (lost 10kg on 5:2). You know it works for you, why not do the same again to get to your target weight and transition to 6:1 or less to maintain long term, and also get the benefits of longer fasting windows that you may not get from restricted eating windows? Good luck.
