They seem to mix up quite a bit😓 I got an email about assistant staff officer & application form was for clerical officer. I couldn’t remember what I applied for 😂 I got 2 separate forms for 2 different areas & both were wrong. When I sent them back they only sent 1 confirmation of receipt so I had to mail them about that too🙄
It would be nice to get an interview after all that effort 😂

Same thing happened to me & candidate ID wrong. Maybe this happened to everyone who applied.

    Very disappointing amount of jobs.
Is it normal that so many temp jobs are offered?
Would these temp jobs lead to anything or are they just a dead end?

    Incredibly slow campaign to move.

Anyone have any update for the Laois/Offaly campaign?

Guys quick query. 'When' we get these Grade IV jobs - do we go in at the same level on the payscale we are on now - level 7 or 8 etc?

  • Registered Users Posts: 426 ✭✭Shane Fitz

New entrants at point 1 of the scale.
Current hse staff move to the nearest point on the IV scale to your current III point of scale , and up one more point is what I'm lead to believe.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭august12

Yes, that is my understanding, one moves to the next nearest point which must be higher plus one more point, if three years or more on the max of your current grade, then you move to the next nearest point plus two more scales, this would bring you to 42,973 I think. This is the way it works for promotion. Maybe it's different here, not sure as I'm not working for HSE.

Does anyone know if you have worked elsewhere in the public/civil service can you take you service with you and start on a higher point on the scale?

I "can" do.. if you re-read the application pack there is a line about prior service.

My email said that due to technical difficulties out of the control of HBS that they hadn't been able to interview in February as per the original information and that they would now be looking at the competency based application forms to invite people to interview from 25th June and that the eligibility of applicants is currently being determined before and once this is completed a communication will be sent to advise if you are being invited to interview....

Hopefully we get interviews after this long wait!!!

Hilarious! A text to say there would be an email update, which in turn says 'no update.' You can't make it up!
