Jesus that looks like a card from cage contender 2012. But in a good way. Great to see so many names I recognise from the past.

Smullen v McKee is some match up, thought Philpott was taking a year off?

  • Registered Users Posts: 63 ✭✭BAMMA

He was taking an undisclosed amount of time off which he has now returned from.  Which is great for everyone coming to the event

Not much being said about the co-main event - Any thoughts on Redmond v Sinclair?

Redmond at 11/4, McKee at 5/4 and Philpott at 5/2 are worth punts IMO.

Redser is a ridiculous price there.

Have heard a few stories of people having trouble getting paid by that crowd be careful betting with them, that said Philpott is a crazy price, McKee has beat smullen already would back him at underdog.

Redsers fight is a tricky one, the other lad was laid off for a long time with an injury. Can't know what to expect from him but it should be a very tough fight.

Smullen is very good on the ground while McKees striking is excellent. This is the one that holds the most interest for me. Great stylistic matchup. Obviously Smullen trains with Kavanagh so the tip needs to be taken in context.

    Its a pretty decent card.

Yeah McKee beat Smullen as amateurs. Both have improved greatly but I'd say Smullen has progressed most. He's a beast once it hits the ground and his striking is vastly improved from even 12 months ago. If it hits the ground McKee could be going home with one less ankle/calf/knee.

McKee has been training in Tri star for it too so I'd say hes improved since that shocking loss last time I think he will kick Smullens head off early.

will that fight be available to watch anywhere? Was very impressed with McKee last time out and lvoe a grappler vs striker matchup.

    *anywhere except the three arena
