Hormone imbalance

    Hi everyone,

So I've been off birth control for the last 3 years, but my periods are still highly irregular. I've asked my doctor about it twice now, and he's told me that he thinks I have a slight hormone imbalance. The thing is, both times he thinks the best thing to do is "give it time". At first I was happy enough with that, but it's been 3 years and myself and himself are now talking about kids.
Im not sure if I should go and get a second opinion or what to do really. Has anyone else here had similar problems? Or any advice? Dunno what to do so any suggestions welcome!!

Have you had blood tests to find out exactly what the imbalance is? If not that would be my first port of call. Also worth your while asking them to check your B12 levels while you're getting blood tested anyway. For no other reason than its not regularly checked and can cause some similar symptoms as PCOS. Also I think levels can be lower in PCOS sufferers.
