I predict McLaren to have a double points finish this weekend.

Plus, I don't think I'll be in the good books after all the racing I'll be watching this weekend. :D

I predict McLaren to have a double points finish this weekend.

    Now that would be great.

I predict we will have a Ferrari and a Merc crashing into each other.

Whatever happens either way I think its going to be very exciting with the new bigger cars trying to get around Monoco,s tight street circuit. I think we will definitely see a crash or two in some off the sessions and maybe even them all as well as in the race.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

All of that and whatever else is available on the air waves. I do enjoy watching GP2 (Formula 2) which always puts on a good show in Monaco.

I'm poking my ear drums with sticks as we speak so Davide Valsecchi can't annoy the life out of me for the F2.

I think it will be challenging for Force India to keep up the points scoring with both cars this weekend. It's such an unpredictable race and get a wheel wrong it's game over.

The new livery on the Haas is shocking ugly on track, they could have updated the logos and left the original colours in place as it wasn't bad before.

Jenson not doing to bad so far. He had a small lockup when he went out at first but that was it. He was ahead of Vandoorne but its the other way around now but its still early days yet. Kimi getting really close to the barrier so close in fact that he actually touched it and now JB has touched the barrier as well. It makes for a beautiful shot.

Grey is the worst colour for a formula 1 car. Sauber as grey for a couple of seasons and it was terrible. If you wanted a car to blend in and not stand out because you're ashamed of it, paint it grey

I like JB but he's 2 seconds down on Vandoorne. I want him to do well but we might as well just talk about what's actually happening.

I see that Vandoorne is up in 12th, if he is able to do that can you imagine where Fernando would be this weekend. It could be a massive blow to them if Vandoorne qualifies somewhere around there and maybe sneaks a point in 10th.

He got closer he was only a 10th of a second behind there a few mins ago could be more now. Don,t forget it is still only FP1.

Fastest lap in Monaco was 1:14.439 (Michael Schumacher, Ferrari, 2004), 10 drivers are already quicker than that in practice 1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,717 ✭✭✭✭El_Duderino 09

Top 15 drivers covered by less than 2 seconds and all drivers within 3seconds. Very close. JB has closed to within 2 tenths of Vandoorne. Much more respectable

There's been a lot of resurfacing this year which is helping with the times.

Ok, hear me out... Remember when Man Utd wore a grey away strip and they couldn't see their own players, maybe Haas might have more incidents involving other cars this weekend as other drivers 'can't see' them?!

Is this Mercedes trying to keep a low profile or are they really struggling to switch the tyres on? I'm sort of excited about Monaco for the first time in a long time

Could be traffic or a different program. Like Renault who are 17/18 what is also a big question mark.

Trulli actually did a 1:13.985 that year. :pac:

Surprising that the wider, heavier cars are comparatively so good at Monaco.

There's probably been huge advances in chassis since then that's been hidden by the narrower tyres. I don't think the extra down force would make much difference at monaco.

Look at the 2 prong nose on the car on the right. Renault took the same innovative approach recently. I didn't know it was done before

Cool bit of retro from the Renaults. All they needed was Rene Arnoux to come along and blow his turbo.

A bit of work alright. Hopefully they can do it on time. Am not surprised that it happened when you see how close they all get to that barrier it was bound to happen to someone at some stage.

    Qualifying should be exciting.
