And their actual small trollies are crap too.

They are narrow and deep. Instead of the wide shallow ones others have. The first thing you put in them is fruit and veg so it all ends up under the heavier stuff.

Almost a week late, but.....why don't you start shopping on the opposite side of the shop where the heavy stuff is and finish where the fruit and veg is??:D

But then, they're first out..

TA that the lawnmower won't start. I checked the petrol, I checked the oil, I checked the air filter, I can't check the spark plug 'cause the only 'key' I remember seeing around has been taken (I know who did it, but still). Anyway, if it's not the spark plug, what else could it be?

ta that it could be any number of things.
I would check the fuel bowl filter thing next. , its a little 1.25 inch round cylinder about an inch long. it will have rounded end. take that off and clean it out

What, the lawnmower or the sparkplug?? Lookit, I even pressed the any key and I tried turning it off and off again ('cause turning it on didn't work).

TA that I'll eventually have to ask for help from the one person I'd really rather not.

Does it have a fuel primer? Give it a press or two.
Check the spark plug. Give it a clean with a wire brush, a rub with petrol and give it a go. If you have no key use a spanner.

Just to be clear, I'm trying to get the lawnmower to work again, not to turn into a ball of flames. :pac: :D

It doesn't, as far as I know. As for the spark plug, it's in a spot that's impossible to reach with a spanner, I'd have to remove the top cover but the nuts and bolts that keep it in place are stuck.

I'm sure at this stage I'm Trivially Annoying everyone with my lawnmower's tales of woe (thanks for the suggestions, though! :)).

New Home are you sure it doesn't have a fuel primer on the front of the main body, like a rubber protruding button?

I absolutely hate when I get a static electrical shock after touching a metal filing cabinet, door handle or pole.

Being too stubborn to get a chair to reach something at the back of a high shelf, I have just whacked myself into the mouth when my hand slipped off the shelf trying to pull myself up higher.

I'll check again in the morning, but I don't think so. If it's of any help, it's an old Honda.

An Post now using waterless wash to clean their vans, very environmentally friendly,
now if only they would stop shoving half a rain forest through my letterbox on a weekly basis advertising their services I may believe them..

It's like when the banks/electricity supplier etc try to get you to sign up for e-statements under the guise of being environmentally friendly. I'm not stupid. I know it's so you don't have to pay for stamps/employees to physically put my statement in an envelope and into the post. If they weren't so darn convenient I wouldn't have signed up :pac:

I'm actually surprised they still have posted statements as an option as it seems like everytime I want to do some banking and go to a cashier I'm told to go and do it online

On the subject of banks, it's really fecking annoying that you can't just go to the cashier and get change. You have to go to the change office which might only be open for two hours, twice a week and only if you're a customer of that bank. My very generous sister sent me £100 for my birthday and Ulster Bank wouldn't change it for me because I wasn't a customer.

Banks ****'s the lot of them.
