Had a conversation with a girl at work about sleep. I was telling her it's the norm for me to wake maybe 3 or four times a night. Maybe once to pee and then another my body just wakes for whatever reason, but I always fall back to sleep quickly. She told me this isn't normal and once her head hits the pillow she's out cold until the morning! What! I'm actually shocked. I thought everyone slept the way I do? So some people actually never wake at all through the night?!! No wonder I'm forever knackered! TA'd!

Oh my god I'd crack up if I woke 3 or 4 times every night :|

TA I need a new show on Netflix and don't know what to watch

Being subjected to rounding of the prices at shops. I seem to end rounding up more than rounding down, but fair enough, I get why it's done. But then today, at a certain shop, they rounded up by 1c, and gave me my 5c change in 1c and 2c coins!!! It's one thing or another, fu(kers!!!!!:mad::mad:

They're not supposed to do that! I don't know if I'd say anything though, it would depend on how bad a day I was having and if the shop assistant was anything like OldNotWise's local staff :D

TA at how overpriced everything is in my local Supervalu. Bad and all as that is, they then try to be sneaky and don't apply discounts on offers & promotions they've advertised i.e. 2 for €2, 3 for €5, etc and you end up paying for each item individually unless you watch the screen like a hawk as they scan everything. Worst of all is that I complained to Supervalu Head Office when I first moved here and had it happen and nothing was done about it! It's the only shop locally for 30 minutes and I normally drive somewhere else rather than shop there but I'm not driving at the moment so I'm stuck with them. [/rantover]

TA that I returned from my hols on Monday with the nigglings of a cold which is now in full swing, so I'm three weeks out of the gym and my chest sounds awful. But that didn't stop me bringing home the cheap cigarettes.

Left my phone on the desk at work yesterday evening. Didn't realise it until I got home and had my tea and went to phone somebody. Thought first I'd left it in the car but no sign. Took out a spare phone and sim that I keep for emergencies like this. Battery dead, took me ages to find charger. Found charger, went to ring my original phone to see by chance if it's somewhere in the house, no credit so I decide to go onto online banking to top up the spare phone. Switched on the laptop. Laptop takes about 30 minutes to boot up which was very unusual. Just about getting into online banking when the internet goes down, which in fairness is also an extremely rare occurrance. Have to go down to shop to get credit. I ring my original phone several times and it goes straight to message minder so I thought it was stolen as I know the phone was on all day on my desk. Tried to ring the service provider but lines had just closed for the night. So no phone and no internet for the night. I live alone so no way of contacting anybody if something happens during the night. Anyway went into work this morning and my phone was under the keyboard. There was a message on the phone from my broadband service provider to install an update on my router and that's why I had no internet last night. Add to that even though I had called my phone several times from my spare phone there were no missed calls or voicemail messages at all which I couldn't understand. Got onto service provider who told me this was very unusual and they would need a few days to get to the bottom of it. Talk about a perfect storm and everything that could go wrong did go wrong.!
TA'd at being so dependent on technology. Didn't know what to do with my time last night with no phone and no internet and having to settle for TV and 600 channels and nothing on! And worried sick my phone had been stolen and the cost of having to replace it but all's well that ends well!

I've a sinus infection and feel awful then my friend texts me on about how great things are for her. She has no clue about illness and just says go back to the doctor like a doctor can cure you just by looking at you. TA ignorance about illness.

I went mad at at the manager of spar before for that. I bought the same thing every day, my money was always rounded up then they handed me 5 1cent pieces back as change. He was like "I'm only new here". I don't care Hun, if you're going to give back dirt as change give me all the dirt.

Same in topaz or reload or whatever they call themselves these days, price was xx.97 I handed in 2 5cent coins, if that was rounded it should have been rounded down but she took the second 5 cent and shut the til, leaving me 3 cent short. Infuriating. I brought the rounding up and rounding down thing from citizens info website on my phone and told her to read it. She gave me back my 3 cent. I'm sure she thought I was a bit touched but she took an extra coin for 2 cent but didn't think I wanted the 3c change? It's the principle of the thing.

My TA today - having to be so arguementative.

The speed at which spilt orange juice flows across a counter top.

Meteor, I know my data allowance is used up, I have my mobile data turned off for days. So please stop texting me at 6.30am to tell me my data allowance is used up and that I can avail of daily rate bundles. Yes I know I should have my phone turned off/ silent but I forgot:(

I am going to shoot the neighbours and then their dog. Not only am I listening to it barking and howling yet again at random intervals overnight, I am listening to them shouting at it to shut up. Get up and bring the mangy mutt in you lazy a$$holes, you aren't the ones up with a small child the next morning. Oh no, your blinds are still down as I hang out the washing. Raaaaaggggggeeeee!!!!

My bed is too big for my bedroom. At least twice a week I bang my knee off the end of the bed frame and I did it just there. Earlier in the week I accidentally cut myself with the potatoe peeler as well!

I made up a stock solution out of the wrong bottle (and made up all the dilutions I'd need from it too) and then could not figure out why the hell my thing wasn't working, because the stuff I used was just similar enough to give a similar outcome, yet obviously not right. Wasted a good two hours on it and then had to dump everything and start from scratch.

It mostly annoyed me because it was such a dumb thing to do and I hate making up stock solutions anyway.

Woke up from a dreary dream, in bad form, got a shock not five seconds after, and if I'm honest, I was rude and cranky to someone and caused an argument. Feel bad now! TA.

Drank only half a can of beer last night. Ta I have a hangover this morning.

It was probably the wine/vodka/tequila/cider/whiskey that caused that.

We have a multiroom music system, yesterday evening I'd set some relaxed music to play and every time I'd come back from the jacks etc. it'd be reset to some dumcha-dumcha-dumcha-dumcha bangin' tunes radio station by one of the kids.

RTE was very nearly displaying a "It is believed the rescued children were left on the mountaintop by an irate parent" headline this morning.

I'm all for helping train people in but I think I now have my limits. Was in a hospital very recently and a guy came over to take my bloods. He looked nervous. But the first thing he asked was 'Which arm will I put it in?'. I responded it depends which vein looks best - or at least that's the only answer I could conclude from all previous blood tests. I was worried that he asked that question. Anyway, realising he was only training I let him put a needle in. Fúck, it was sore, and he seemed to do it twice and a few seconds later he said 'I thought I hadn't got it in right so I took it out again but I think it was in right.' Oh Jesus, if ever I had a guinea pig feeling it was right now. He went to try again and without screaming for help I suggested that he ask the nurse for help. Finally, the nurse came over and put the needle in. Phew! But then she walked away again, and left mo dhuine with me to complete the job.

After the few tests were done he went to remove the needle. He made a complete hames of it. Whether the needle broke or what I don't recall but there was blood. Everywhere. My fúcking blood. I have never seen as much blood coming out of my body. Feck helping trainees right at that stage. I don't think anybody else was aware of it, as the nurses and doctors were run off their feet elsewhere. He apologised and, of course, I said it's OK and that anybody can make a mistake - but maybe they could give him a task which doesn't involve human blood!

Not a work morning, so went back for a snooze after I woke at my usual time. (Waking at work time on a weekend is enough of a TA in itself) and had the weirdest dream involving staying with friends who were strangers! Oh and they had spiders in their house, lots of spiders

TA'd that I can't quite decide if making a joke about the thread needing a New Home is pushing things too far off-track!

Also ta'd that I'm still unsure if I'm going to find a mouse corpse somewhere hidden in the bathroom after the scene of bloody destruction that was in there the other morning with no corpse to account for all the blood (I hope the cat just ate it, but I fear going in and absently standing on some pathetic ball of innards.)
