As opposed to a chocolate tsunami?

Look up Tenerife and the possibility of the mountain collapsing into the sea and the resulting tsunami.

Here's a list of previous ones. Most are in the Mediterranean, but there were plenty up north, too : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tsunamis_in_Europe

Not to mention the effect it will have on people seeking year-round sun at affordable prices. :( Feck the Tsunami -the holidays will be ruined. Dalkey could do with a wash anyway.

Everywhere on earth close to an ocean is potentially at risk of tsunami no matter how unlikely

In Tenerife there's a mock up of the aftermath of a Mount Teide eruption on the northern side, which is quite likely.
No more Cork City, and a lot of the South of Ireland.

The Northern Mid Atlantic Ridge had 44 earthquakes in the past 365 days with 3 in the last 30 days.

    Check out earthquaketrack.com

There is only water between us and the Ridge so we would be funked if that Ridge popped like a springboard

We have about two and a half hours to mobilise the civil defence when half of that island falls into the sea

How far inland would a 10 metre tsunami reach ?

Depends on the slope of the land, maybe 15m above sea level.

That Volcano is well over due, which wwould result in the north side of said mountain sliding into the ocean. Tsunami would reach at least the South and South East of England, and The south, and possibly move up the west coast of Ireland.

But how far would it come up a river estuary at sea level ? How far inland would have to be to be safe from a tsunami

    It's all about elevation.

If you live 50 km from the shore in flat Holland you're fecked, if you are on a hill in the Wicklow coast half a km from the sea you're fine.

tsunami is a tidal wave from a earthquake under water you could have a earthquake on land also.

Tsunami's can be caused by earthquakes, landslides and explosions and other stuff causing a large shift of water.
