Another bogey team for Liverpool. Results away have been better than performances for Liverpool, so hopefully a good result again with Arsenal putting on the pressure.

Firmino and Lucas a doubt, but Lallana and Sturridge could start.

This'll be a tight game so either a draw or only a goal in it either way probably.

What's your record for wins on these threads 5star. We need all the luck possible. Hard to see a win today for Liverpool. Always been a bogey team for us.

It's a somewhat simplistic view, but it really feels to me like Champions League qualification comes down to this game.

A Liverpool win puts Liverpool in, a draw or loss and it's Arsenal's.

I just don't fancy Sunderland or Everton to take points off Arsenal, nor Boro on Liverpool.

I was hopeful that Arsenal would drop points away at Soton or Stoke and that a draw would do us here. But now it's become game we need to do everything to win.

West Ham very solid defensively lately, Liverpool very stodgy in attack. recent form points towards a low-coring game. Taking whatever half-chance comes your way will be crucial.

Either team might nick it 1-0, but I'll predict a drab and frustrating 0-0 and Arsene to pull off 4th yet again

I could tell you but you've probably already jinxed us.

3-1 Liverpool win. No doubt about it. It's this weeks big lock.

Something to play for with two games to go, could be worse. If I was told at the start of the season all we had to do to get top 4 was win our last two games against teams in 12th and 19th place then I'd take it. We should have secured our place already, but we haven't, so no point lamenting on that right now.

The only good news is that this is the early SKY game, get the misery over with.

Liverpool shouldn't have opened the gate and should have had CL sorted by now

West Ham ruined the Spurs party last week and are capable of beating anyone on their day but I think Liverpool will win this one and win it well, I think West Ham wrapped up there season on that Spurs win

All or nothing now. The squad is paper thin at the moment so I'll expect a very nervy game.

I've been saying that I think Arsenal are going to pip Pool to 4th and I think it will be here that Liverpool drop the points.

Pool to score first and lose 2-1

Been ages since there has been a red card in a Liverpool game I think. Would be good to see an early red for West ham ham today as long as it doesn't involve an injury. Liverpool would still struggle to score though missing 2 of their preferred front 3, which is a a sad situation for the club to be in.

    Gwan the Hammers

West Ham are only up for games against likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Man United, so I don't expect any different today. In saying that could see West Ham nick point, but I reckon Liverpool to win by 1 goal.

Its easy say that, they still won some tough away games lately. That's why its a battle for 4th place and not winning the league because these teams are not consistent.

    Happy with the team.

That team is the one that every fan would have picked.

Just hope they perform. If they click then West Ham will be beaten.

for everyone on the legacy skin

Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge

Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Klavan, Woodburn.

I know 3 of Liverpool's top players are injured, but jesus, that bench is not good enough for a team fighting for a top 4 place, never mind having aspirations for a title challenge earlier on in the season.

I agree with you excluding Grujic, I think he could end up something special.
Most likely when he moves to Italy and then 3 years later at Milan :D

Well there were no actual aspirations to win the title at any point - if it happened it would have meant everyone else was likely too have underperformed. As it is Liverpool were one of those who underperformed in the critical Jan/Feb period esp. The season was about the top 4.

As for the bench add Ings, Mane, Firmino, Henderson to the squad and it doesn't look too bad.

Liverpool rarely do it the easy way, so certainly won't be a routine away win sadly. I have a few quid on Ayew first goal scorer.

Not a good start yet again.

    Witless opening 5.

Clyne is regressing at a rate of knots.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,633 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

    A better finish there and it's 1-0

    Group start from West ham

We're going to need about 3 goals to win this I'd say.

I like the idea of coutinho playing in midfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,130 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Few offsides so far but at least we're finding the runs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,434 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

    Brilliant from Milner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,130 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

This exactly the kind of game we need, I fear if West Ham score they'll shut up shop and we'll struggle to come back, need the first goal.

    Im loving Sturridges runs

At most, Origi had his toe accidentally trod on. Why is he holding his shin? Hate that crap.
