    Arsenal:

Arsenal are likely to be without Granit Xhaka for their Premier League clash at home to Manchester United on Sunday.

The Switzerland midfielder suffered a kick on his ankle which forced him off in last weekend's defeat to local rivals Tottenham and is not expected to recover in time to face the Red Devils.

David Ospina is fit following a back complaint, Shkodran Mustafi has returned to full training after a thigh injury but Lucas Perez (thigh) faces another game on the sideline after a slight setback.

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Martinez, Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Maitland-Niles, Coquelin, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Walcott, Iwobi, Sanchez, Giroud.

    Manchester United:

Jose Mourinho plans to rest tired Manchester United players in Sunday's Premier League trip to Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford could be one such player after he limped off after scoring in the Europa League semi-final first leg at Celta Vigo, where Ashley Young exited with an apparent hamstring complaint shortly after coming on.

United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is banned from domestic action, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Tim Fosu-Mensah are sidelined.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Pereira, Bailly, Blind, Darmian, Jones, Smalling, Tuanzebe, Valencia, Young, Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Mata, McTominay, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Willock, Martial, Rashford, Rooney.

    What are the odds?

    Arsenal - 19/20
    Man Utd - 3/1
    Draw - 13/5

Pundits on Today FM yday were saying that Jose was just playing mind games saying he will field a weakened 11.

If Liverpool slip up in any way against Southampton prior to Utd game it will make the later game v interesting.

Am going for a one nil Utd win,Taunzebe to score with a header from a corner.

What is a weakened team for utd. They have such a massive squad, they could field two teams in the league and do alright.

We really dont with injuries. We have 5 academy players drafted in to make up numbers. Of them only Tuanzebe has played at senior level (for 22 minutes in the FA Cup).

You can still make up a strong squad of 18 from the provisional squad list in the op. The academy players don't have to be drafted in unless Mourinho is really going to field a weakened squad/team.

Well Valencia is 100% out from that squad list. Confirmed list here.

3-1 to arsenal, united to take the lead and Ozil to turn up.

Arsenal fans are unreal just seen a midstream if them outside the ground it's a make ir break fir their champions league hopes and they are outside the ground marching and protesting. Get the fuk in and support your team and manager.

Edit: and just to clarify they can protest all they want when they have nothing left to play for.

  • Plenty of observers for this I expect
Time to crack open a cold one
Come on Jose, expect he has something good up the sleeve ;)

That's easy for you supporting utd. Arsenal are going no where and its obvious for years. What's the point protesting on a Tuesday morning.

United rest practically their whole team and still put out a team that cost nearly £250 million

What's the point in protesting before an important game when the players need the support do it after the game if 8t has to be done.

We had the same with the airplane fiasco it achieves nothing.

Nobody cares after a game though. I feel for the arsenal boys they are going no where and the board does not give a ****e.

If Arsenal win today they'll get top 4. But United +1 looks like free money.

De Gea, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Herrera, all very strong. Rooney due a good day. Nice to have Pogba as an option on the bench!

No one cares before the game then either? Do you think the board are sitting there and saying Ohh look they are protesting at the end of the game it's ok give him another contract thankfully they ain't doing it before the game??

I feel for them aswell of course I do but that's not right. I'm not saying I don't enjoy it but they do need a bottle of cop on.

The point is that they have copped on.
They know Arsenal are going backwards and that the club is just a cash cow for the yanks.
And as someone already said there's no point in protesting on a Tuesday.
