I genuinely think Alonso may well be my favourite FPL player of all time. He is just ALWAYS forward. It's so fun watching him having him in your team because he is always in and around the attacks.

I genuinely feel he has underperformed in terms of total score this season. Based on his attacking exploits this year it could have been way way more, and if Chelsea keep playing the same way next year, he may well do so.

I'll have him in my team even at 7.5.

For me he's right up there with Gareth Bale when he was classed as a cheap defender, who was never on a match winning team for Spurs.

Alonso and Hazard last night gave me another 1k rise to 12k.

Is it greedy that I hoped it'd be more, although I guess Costa countered that a little.

59 points and Stephens, Yoshida, Gabbiadini, Monreal and Sanchez (c) tomorrow night

It's not impossible. I would be surprised though.

Id say they'll make him and Moses the same position anyway
I get that it sounds like the sensible thing and all, but I don't think they will. They tend to stick pretty rigidly to perceived positions unless given indisputable evidence to suggest otherwise. Rooney remains a forward and Sanchez remained a midfielder (recent events aside) despite the fact that in July, all logic suggested Sanchez would be playing in a more advanced position.

Until Alonso is playing in midfield (he's not) I don't think they'll change him. Moses getting moved as a defender is more likely but, particularly with Moses not being a highly owned player in the game, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they just don't touch him.

Wing back = defender. The very best kind of defender but a defender.

Moses would be far more highly owned if he was classed as a defender and agree it's more likely he is reclassified. He's played all season as a wing back aka a defender.

Exactly. Hence why I don't even get the clamour to make Alonso a midfielder. Moses as defender would be the logical approach but I'm not even sure they'll do it.

I have San(c)hez, Monreal, Forster and Stephens, not sure what I want tonight, I suppose 0-0 or Alexis to go mad and subbed with 10 minutes to go and then Forster saves a penalty.

Cahill scored in the 2 games prior you weren't moaning then!

    Bought him this week.

I have 65 with Sanchez (c), Stephens, Holding and Gabbiadini to play tonight.

Fell back a bit after Monday due to everyone around me having Alonso. I rectified that this week.

Yeah definitely agree about underperforming. He only came into the team in week 6, so could have had another 20 point if he'd been there from the start. Add in that 10 game run where they left in consolation goals every second week, and he should be over 200 points by now

Just realised the arsenal match isn't on tv! With the Madrid derby all over I was going to watch san(c)hez.
That's a bit annoying, I just assumed it was on tv.

I know they can be watched through other means but I assume that can't be spoke about on here so I'll do a bit of googling closer to kick off cos really want to see Arsenal.
Like you, With next week in mind too as well as finishing out this gameweek.

With the champ league on as well other means may be more difficult
    But we shall prevail

So I take it that we're all getting the plane to Southampton.

See you all in the airport :D:D

Only just seen Koscielny is a doubt. That would big a very big blow. Paid the premium for him due to certainty of place.

Need Walcott to stay put tonight (or score). Albrighton waiting to come off the bench with 8.

    Kos out.

Southampton XI vs Arsenal: Forster, Cedric, Stephens, Yoshida, Bertrand, Romeu, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Tadic, Redmond, Gabbiadini

Arsenal XI vs. Southampton: Cech; Holding, Mustafi, Monreal; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Gibbs; Özil, Sánchez; Welbeck.

That's annoying. Same as last poster, I paid the extra for him thinking he was the safest pick.

Disappointing for Kos owners, Arsenal defence owners (and Arsenal fans) alike.
Luckily I only fit one category.

    Redmond in for bouffal

    Mustafi for kos

    Not much rotation there !

Could do with Arsenal winning to stay in top 4 but a goal from gabbi would also be nice
But I also have a defender from each team :D

    Same here.

Tadic or Stephens goal be nice now though with him out.

He gets injured once a month
    That's why I avoided him

Cmon SanChez! A few goals should seal a couple leagues for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,938 ✭✭✭AdpRo

F##king Gabriel, what a wasted wildcard pick, -4 now to get rid for BB. At least Redmond starts, 3-3, Sanchez and Redmond with 3 each and Cech to save a Gabbi peno!

    As the saying goes;

    Feed the Ox and he will......;

break your heart by leaving his boyhood club, but do you a solid in Fantasy Football 6 years later in a double game week.

    Has a ring to it.
