Sorry, there is lack of one pic. Just dissapeared.
As you can see, supplying 220V cable has a plug. Cut this plug out and you will have 2 core cable, brown and blue. Connect them to 9 and 10. This cable goes to power suppler (black box).

Excellent. Great to have the pics! I'll get my hands on one of these and let you know when I have a chance to install.

Hi all, I'll just update on my Post No 19 from October.
After getting frustrated with the RTU Gsm (maybe my own fault?) I ended up purchasing a GSM Activated unit https://gsm-activate.co.uk/product/gsm-electric-gate-opener-240v/?
This GSM is a self contained unit which takes 240 volt and has its own inbuilt transformer in a high quality IP box. It has two inbuilt relays and a sim active function.
The reason I am only getting back now is that I had alot of problems initially with the main relay randomly energising (and therby opening the gate if I had it connnected). The Company dispatched another control board to me immediately on hearing I had problems. The problem remained the same with the new board. At this stage I tried a 3 network sim card from my own phone and the Gsm worked perfectly. As I wanted to use a Lycamobile Sim I again got back onto the Company and they arranged for the units to be returned along with the sim cards I was using.
They quickly identified that there was problem with the settings on the Lycamobile Sim card and updated them for me.(I'm not sure what they did exactly, they said it can be done with the Sim in a mobile phone). They could not however get my Tesco mobile Sim card to work with the Gsm unit!. I had no problem with this as it now costs €15/month to operate.

The Lycamobile Sim was my choice anyway in terms of running costs and has been working perfectly since I got the Gsm unit back. The unit runs with minimum programming and replies withing a minute to imple text commands & is good for 3G networks.

Overall I am very impressed with the Company and the quality of the Gsm unit and am happy to have bought from a Company who specialise in Gsm units and who have great customer service.
Personally speaking I would not touch a generic GSM unit and messing around with transformers and reset buttons and waiting ages for text replies.
There are other Irish companies selling GSM units also and who will also give good customer service.

    Thanks again for your inputs.

does anyone know to to apply a restrication on the RTU only to accept calls from certain numbers? have the app and and it has the option but it doesnt work

this is what codes I have tried

    1234#AU#0035387123456789#

    1234#AU#087123456789#

I get back Allow All numbers not can access it , but it wont open from any number when I use the above commands, the unit only works if I use the code

    1234#AA#

But then any number can active the unit, even someone who just dials the wrong number would be able to open the garage!

    Hi.
try this: (what model you have? Pict please.)

    1234A010#0035387123456789#
    and so on...
    than:
    1234AUT#

    explanation:
    1234 - password
    A - command...
010 - the Ph No is 10th on the list of phone numbers(you can use any of your numbers)
    # - command devider
0035387123456789 - phone No (has to have 00353 format if IE, 00 not +)
    # - END
    AUT - command...

    any way:
I have years exp with RTUs... and I just gave up. Just avoid. Soft on it is... And no one will help you. RTUs are made in a few "companies" in China and all of them have the same issues. Maybe on github you can find some thing, but you need to know programming than. Good luck.
ps. go back here if youll find the cure, please.

    thanks

ill try this and let you know, its a RTU 5035 I have.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,801 ✭✭✭tech

    hi

    when I ran this command

    1234A010#0035387123456789#

I got command error, please re send command

  • Registered Users Posts: 56 ✭✭Anj1813

Try this: 1234#TEL0035387123456789#01# you know 01, 02, 03... but txt will come back only to 01 and 02!
!!! Phone No should have format 00353... (as it works, right?) but this model 5035 goes from nowhere so maybe +353 will work ("+" works in Chech and Slovakia as I know)
than: 1234#AU# to get txt confirming "Only Aut Ph No"

...if doesnt work, reset unit and should be fine with out "1234#AU#" as its factory setup.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,801 ✭✭✭tech

    thanks

when I send the command to restrist on allowed numbers

    1234#AU#
    THEN

    1234#TEL0035387123456789#01#

    I get back

    TEL: 253:0035387123456789

but then no number will active this unit when I dial in :(

    I have tried to reset

    1234#RESET#
I get command error please re send command .............
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Registered Users Posts: 56 ✭✭Anj1813

You have only 3! min to send command 1234#RESET# after switching RTU on. (red light has to be constant on - not blinking)

I have a CAME gate motor (pictured below) but cant find the instructions! Picked up a RTU5024 and hoping to install it but need some assistance on wiring if anyone could help!

    IMG-8917.jpg

is it possible to test the device with the new sim before I try install it? I know it requires a 12v power supply but not sure if its AC or DC or if as simple 12v switchmode power supply will work for testing purposes? 12v 12v 1.25A centre positive?

Any help much appreciated. Gate was installed 3 years ago but just looking to add the GSM dialling functionality.

Thanks for that. I have the unit setup in the house and switching a lamp on and off with the phone so just need to get it wired up to the came unit now.

A NO connection across terminals 2 and 3 on the Came board should see you right

Together with rtu, take ps and connect in gate box to 220V. Better to use independent ps than power from pcb. Your pcb has 24V. Dont use it!

Wondering is it possible to use some of the existing wiring inside the house at the intercom location and use that for the COM/NO as there is a push button that triggers the relay to open the gate? Would be an easier install than outside at the gate location?

Yes as it is a NO trigger you can indeed connect up with the cabling at the push button.

Excellent thanks. Think this will be a much easier install.

No manual for the intercom. Any idea which two I need to use for COM/NO? Thanks for all the help!
