Can not find IP address to connect to router.

Hi, I upgraded my internent today and its working fine but I cannot find the IP address to open my router settings so I can reconfigure a few small things (passwords etc)

when I type ipconfig /all it says my default gateway is:
fe80::e618:6bff:fe06:dcfc%11
192.168.1.1

I have tried with 192.168.1.1 , 1.2, 2.1 etc, i have tried many.

I have also reset my modem and tried all above again.

Im basically logged out of my steam account because i cannot connect to my wifi with my phone that has steamguard. I cannot use the password on the back of the modem because the part of my phone screen with the letter X and long has gone dead and i cannot type that letter in at any angle i auto rotate my phone.

What's the make / model of the router or who is your ISP?

VirginMedia's usually is 192.168.0.1.

With http://192.168.1.254/
I get a different message from Chrome.
With http://192.168.1.1 I get:

This site can’t be reached

192.168.1.1 refused to connect.

But with http://192.168.1.254 I get:

This site can’t be reached

192.168.1.254 took too long to respond.

Did you try with Edge/Internet Explorer/Firefox?

Did work, Ive been at this all night. Tired so many other PC form post for people with a similar issue but their fixes haven't worked for me yet. With my old modem I used to us http://192.168.1.254/ to connect to the router settings.

Best thing to do is reset the router and then use the default IP address....

OP:

1. Do a Start->Run and execute cmd
2. In the window type ipconfig and hit return
3. Find the network adapter that you are using to access the router
4. See what the Gateway address is
5. THAT's your router!

If you have manually set your IP addresses and Gateway, then you need to change your network adapter to automatically get it's IP address (from DHCP). then go and follow the above steps and you'll get your router's address!

Sorry for the late update, Ive been away over the past 2 days. I found the manual for my old modem for the 24mb broadband I had with them and it said it access the router with 192.168.1.1:7080 like mentioned above. With the port number. Worked
With the manual included with my current router it only said 192.168.1.1

Sure most D-Link and Netgear routers use 192.168.0.1

I would think the vast majority use either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

once got a router from an ISP to setup for a friend , it was setup using 10.0.55.7 - 255.255.255.0 - strange address range to use - was probably a refurb that was never reset

I finally found the router access page. However the password to access isn't '1234'. Magnet's website says the password should be my DSL Customer account but all I can find in the emails I got when I got Magnet is my account ID.

All online help for router Zyxel VMG1312-B10D says that the password is 1234 or admin but neither of them works.

Did anyone find the right password for their Zyxel router?
