    First attempt not as planned?

    :D

    Still no Zaha though.

    :p

Voted Ibra but dont have him yet, will be Kane otherwise I think

Genuinely feel there is a case for a De Gea/Bailly/Rojo option this week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

Benteke or maybe negredo if I buy him. If I was higher up the rankings I'd sign IBRA and captain him even though I don't necessarily think he is the best option.

No real outstanding option from the DGW players.

You could see Zaha/Benteke doing damage at Anfield maybe but not so much against Spurs

Hard to see either of them outscoring Lukaku or Kane imho.

I'm going with Lukaku at the minute

Probably Sanchez or Lukaku, no faith in the dgwers

Negredo actually isn't the worst shout if I don't bring in a United striker. Not even necessarily as captain, but I had barely put a minutes thought into him until I saw your post there Busts.

Yeah Negredo should definitely be in the poll as well as Zaha. Gibson isn't a bad shout for a captain either considering he's likely to get at least one clean sheet and some bonus points.

This is what I fear I must do. Despite my frustration at 1 step forward and 2 steps back for the last couple of months, I'm hanging in at 33k and in contention in some leagues so I probably need to go shield.

Now that I think about it yeah there certainly is. Mourinho loves to keep it tight against the big teams and the City match could be a clean sheet for United.

Burnley aren't scoring many goals recently either and have nothing to play for so a shutout may not be out of the equation there either.

I may go for a United defender over Gibson as Boro will be prioritising attacking teams more than keeping it tight at the back now that they absolutely have to win their next two matches.

A big thing to consider for anyone thinking of sanchez/Kane or any city or Chelsea player is that deadline closes and they then have a fa cup semi final before their league match. Would be madness in my opinion to pick a player under these circumstances.

As long as you have a safe vice captain that worry is largely negated. Not that it's something I see myself doing in any case.

Not necessarily true. If sanchez plays a tough 120 mins v city on Sunday (or picks up a niggle) there's every chance he starts on the bench at home to Leicester on Wednesday and comes on for last 20 or 30 mins.

That is true too. It wouldn't turn me off either if I had a great option with a good fixture, but with Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City and Chelsea all having tough enough propositions, it won't even bear thinking about.

I'm sure I'll captain a DGW player, it is merely a question of who I think.

Thinking of bringing in Rashford and giving him the armband.

Im thinking of wayne hennessy he could rack up some serious save points

Voted Costa because I have him
This is your last chance Diego :)

Going Benteke. Nothing to lose. Burnley tough to crack. City could be a Rashford job. Could be a rest in general for Ibra. Too much uncertain. Unless Anderlecht dump them out somehow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

Definitely holding off on the TC I think till GW36 now. Even with Ibra in the team, may be a toss up between Zaha and Bentake for the armband.

Rashford might be a sneaky pick now...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

Well definitely not captaining Ibra now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,264 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

    Sanchez i think

Can we reset the poll? Presume nobody's going Ibra now

    100% going Negredo now.

Nope. Rules are if you select Ibra in the poll you have to captain him still.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,946 ✭✭✭✭CSF

A new poll probably would be appropriate imo given Rashford isn't even in this one and lots will want to take the huge risk on him now.

    Doing this me thinks

Had it on Zlatan, brought him in before Everton game and I've already made my free transfer from Siggy to Zaha on Monday.

Not sure what to do now, sit tight and wait for Zlatan new? He'll surely not play 2 games if even 1.

May leave him in and take a punt on Zaha el capitano, good form and recently likes playing against the big guns (liv), (TOT)

I'm thinking of using my triple captain on him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,466 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Could be one of the most wide-open captain polls now. 3 DGW teams but no stand out candidate from either. Usual big hitters have medium fixtures, no stand outs. Currently tempted between Zaha and Lukaku/Kane/Sanchez (all of who I would expect max 1 goal)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭Delboy2015

Transferred in Negredo for Ibra and will captain him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 466 ✭✭L.S.F

Rashford in for Zlatan it's looking like for me too. Also had Rojo (and brought Stones in last week for a supposedly injured Fabio) so might go All Out Attack or even Triple Captain Rashford. Still have 4 chips to play. WC 36 then Bench Boost DGW 37

Its not the worst idea. I'm assuming the alternative is gw36 Sanchez. If it goes wrong all your losing is one score from Sanchez minus whatever negredo gets this week. It means you can wildcard in 36 again assuming you are BB in 37.

Toying with that idea myself, the closer you can get the wildcard to BB the better.

Why is Negredo not included in the poll? He's now the front runner in other FF Captaincy polls I've seen.

I think a new poll should be created now that Ibra is injured and a few players like Negredo, Zaha and Gibson are not included.
