REST: How to put payload tags into REST call

    The following code will not validate as a REST call

    <payload>
    {"patients": [{"sponsor": "test1","protocol": "study_5449","site_number": "1-Add-Patient-5449","subject_number": "RT0008","subject_status": "T","randomization_date": "01Jan2017","treatment_id": "pathway_5449"}]}
    </payload>

    However, if i remove the Payload tags this will work fine. I want to include them though - how would i achieve this?
