Irish Culture Materialistic race of People all about 171 Cars , New Houses , etc.

And aren't the registration numbers great. Seeing 171 gives me a boost every day. A great numbering system that help us see how well we're doing.

Scandals, Strikes, Corruption. And the people paying for it and being inconvenienced by it. That is sadly what today's Ireland is. Bank bailout, clerical abuse, extreme/rogue industrial action by Bus Eireann's unions, politicians giving themselves top ups to their already high salaries, Gardai abusing their power and privileges, rising crime in some places, a media who want to force certain agendas and individuals and neglect others, etc.

Ireland is admittedly far from being a hellhole and far from being even near the worst places on earth. A lot of good things exist too with lack of war and terrorism being the main one. That said and done, annoying issues and corruption need to be tackled head on and legislation to curb things like the current bus strike and to hold corrupt police officers accountable is needed badly. Ireland could well be the perfect country if a few changes were made.

What bugs me about Ireland is the amount of people who have minor quarrels and in their own mind think their actions are fighting the great big evil state. The current AAA organised bus drivers strike is an example in case as were the water protests. In their mind, these clowns want us to believe Ireland is the Islamic Republic of Backwardsistan or the Nationalist Socialist Republic of Repressia or the Democratic Socialist Republic of West Buffoonia or whatever other fascist nightmare state they like to think we are!! Ireland has problems and yes the government are not perfect. But who is repressing the people? Blocking us from doing things at the moment? Those lovely AAA people who are supposed to be on 'our side' have imposed a travel curfew on rural Ireland. That is what is wrong with Ireland. In the past, I may have considered a AAA candidate in the election but this bus strike abuse has crossed these clowns off the list of candidates I'd consider voting for.
