Going vegetarian and bodybuilding

I dont mind eating meat but my skin looks red and blotchy when I eat it everyday, especially around my face. When I dont eat meat my skin looks great. Im afraid to stop eating it incase I loose the gains Ive made the past 6 months in the gym. Especially with summer coming in I dont wanna look too skinny for the ladies.

I was a vegetarian years ago when I was younger and I looked like a stick insect. I dont know if I can make the gains I want on a low fat vegy diet. Is anyone a vegetarian here and pumping iron?

    Thanks

Clarence is a vegan and he did a video on what he eats:

You have to make sure to eat enough and supplement in certain areas

Veganism is too extreme for me but worth a watch anyways.

It wasn't to suggest going vegan at all.

Just an insight into how you get adequate fuel without meat etc.

Protein requirements are over-exaggerated to sell supplements. If you were a stick insect it was a lack of caloric intake rather than protein intake. Keep an eye on your protein intake when veggie but if you're still eating eggs, oats, nuts, cheese, milk (soy, dairy, w/e) and beans you'll get plenty of protein in. Nothing to worry about.

Is it all animal products that set you off or just certain ones like beef?

If you're happy eating dairy and eggs then you've absolutely no issues. I bulked from about 70kg to 90kg as a vegetarian, no problems. Getting enough protein as a vegetarian is easy if you're any way well informed about nutrition.

Beef , pork and chicken. Meats in general.

That's what I was thinking too. Generally people find it easy to digest too
    How about whey?
