Just after watching 'The last of the Mohicans' for no idea how many times.
Trying not to give away if people havent seen it, but the scene leading up to cliff and thereafter is brillant. Its a brillant movie anyway but those last 20 minutes are superb.

What films have u seen but you'll watch just for 'that part'

On that really stands out for me is the the card game/bathtub scene in Taining Day, If it's on I have to watch atleast that scene. Funny thing is Denzel isn't even in it.

Two that spring to mind. The shopping mall shootout scene in Denzel's Equalizer and the airport check through scene at the end of Inception. I think both soundtracks to those scenes are the same artist, it's what make the scenes imo.

    Das Boot:

The attack on the sub in Gibraltar.
The sub resurfacing after being nearly destroyed in Malta.
    The final scene.

Was just about to post that!

Another one for me is the scene in Payback where Carter is talking to Val - actually any scene with William Devane.

Another one from Goodfellas - where all the bodies start showing up. It's fantastic and the music is brilliant

Saving Private Ryan - the entire beach scene and later battle for Ramelle. Never gets old, 20 years later and no film has managed to match it in raw intensity and power.

And that makes more sense in the context of the deleted/partly unfilmed love scene (Jodhi May was very young and her mother would not allow a sex scene, and apparently Eric Schweig wasn't very good at acting kissing so the kissing scene under the waterfall was cut).

I really love that scene. They use to cut it a bit on TV because it was fairly graphic.

Another one I like is the build up in Goodfellas just before he gets caught. What is Life by George Harrison is played. I also like the killing of Billy Bats. It took me ages to figure out the song in the background. It's Atlantis by Donovan. It's quite violent but when Tommy says "I didn't wanna get blood on your floor", you kind of think "huh ffs?" :)

True Romance where Alabama shows her strength and defeats Virgil is another one and also the Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walkin scene.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest...

It works perfectly fine without it. The Last of the Mohicans is a great example of efficient visual storytelling. Everything Uncas does on that cliff is set up earlier in the film through no more than a few shots. More than any other Mann films, you could watch it with the sound off and still understand everything.

Probably a bit longer than a scene, as it's basically a 3rd of the film, but I'll sit through all of LOTR:The Two Towers, just for the battle at Helms Deep. It still looks very well today whereas you compare Pelennor Fields to it, which doesn't look anywhere as good.

One already mentioned of Gladiator for Return of Maximus Aurelias (Husband of a Murdered Wife, Father of a Murdered Son, and I shall have My Vengeance) speech, and Warriors for the calling of "Warriors, come out to play"

Surprised the voice didn't stand out! A bunch of actors were in both - Pauly, Chris, Uncle Pussy, Hesh, Johnny Sack and... ooohhhh, about 22 others! :p

I like nearly all the scenes in mullholland drive. The diner scene with scary guy out back. Club silencio. The crappy hitman. The audition.

But the coffee scene is great for sheer understated menace.
