Just joined St Margaret's and got my GUI handicap, haven't really played at all in the last 6 years so getting back into it and hitting the range a couple of times a week, fingers crossed i can get into single figures by the end of the year.

Well on the way to target - no - hope to hold what I have this year , last year was my trough. Can't see me going there again .

No i never had a GUI prior to this.

Only really played casually and was never a member of a golf club so didn't have a handicap.

Had a few lessons when i was a kid but my dad was never a member anywhere so just went out on municipal courses.

So, finally gave in and went back for lessons (bad experience with lessons a few years back). New pro is fantastic so far, so hope to see improvement this year after 3-4 years of stagnation.

Big goal I know but shot ten over twice this winter so definitely room for improvement. Aim was 12 this year but has since revised.

I'd be happy with a cut to 7 but will aim for a two shot cut. Comfortable in the fact that I will still be single figures by the end of the year thanks to the new rule

Lads, I know Rikand was blue in the face telling ye this the last few years, if you could put the dividers in between username, handicap, date it makes it a lot easier to update the table!!

These "|" let the table know which column to put the info into.

Was playing off 14 a year and a half ago couldnt join last year so lost my gui card. Recently rejoined Athenry so have to enter 3 cards to get back h/c so if i start of 14 hope to get down to 11

I contemplated not posting in this thread as the last few years it made it depressing reading. looking at your name down the lower end of the table especially when your not achieving your goals! I started last year flying, till i got injured just as the season started (Qualifying) ruling me out for the season.. Killed my motivation.. Plus got 2 shots added to my HC at end of year review :mad: From some poor rounds starting back..

So I will go again this year hoping to play as much golf as possible.. 2017 lets have you and hope the Golfing Gods shine on me anyway

Trying to set a realistic goal i have been a member for nearly 2 full seasons without a cut however I think I am close to being able to play to current hcap after a recent 39 points (non qualifying) unfortunately I followed that up with 30 points in a qualifying event
