Assists in FPL are crazy. I would count this as more of an assist than some that are given the most minimalistic of touches!

Assists

Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the final pass before a goal is scored. I don't think it was a shot though. I'd reckon FPL use the same criteria that they'd use for saves to determine whether it's a shot or not.
