Well it was nice while it lasted. Good to have Coetzee back for a couple of games. See you again next year.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

If that's serious for Coetzee that's our season over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,675 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

Tuned in late, what happened to Coetzee?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,358 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

Didn't see the injury, but saw him limping off. At least he was walking

Knee hurt, had to be carried off and was limping badly. Same knee that kept him out for most of the season, though he has wrecked both knees in the past.

Piutau try, Payne just absolutely class.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

    Sublime pass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,675 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

My goodness, it's nice to see some positive attacking rugby for a change*. Really strange to be tuning into an Ulster game to see it though...

*Yes I know Zebre are piss but I don't care.

Stockdale will be wearing a green jersey sooner rather than later.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

I also agree with iHumph, I'd sub anyone who's semi-important at half time. Payne, Piutau, Henry, Pienaar, get them all off.

The only likelihood is that Ulster throttle back in the second half, but no way back for zebre

Stockdale has been a revelation this season. Beating players all the time.

Payne at least should definitely come off because he's got to be in contention for Ireland next weekend.

    Wow, some kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,675 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

Haven't been paying enough attention so far, but how has Olding at 10 been working out? He's looking like a fairly nippy distributor in the highlights here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,675 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

Ffs, why'd they have to show yesterdays game again, should have just given the Women's team a bit of coverage instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,358 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

Olding has looked quite good. All we really needed was a safe pair of hands and a little bit of game management to look good - we've got Marshall, Stockdale, Piutau, Gilroy and Payne lining up against Zebre.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    This is embarrassing for Zebre.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,675 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

My goodness that was awful by the Zebre 11.

We can score 100 points. I don't care. Coetzee's injury is the main outcome of tonight (potentially).

Have always wondered why rugby was fairly songless compared to soccer, but then I realised they only sing during soccer games because they're bored as feck. Even an awful rugby match usually has something going on constantly.

I went to google a bbc 2 stream to watch this but for whatever reason a documentary about kangaroos was on instead. Highly recommended.

It's not BBC 2 NI. I had the same problem. Lousy kids have bogarted the TV to watch Inside Out for the 27th time.

BBC2 NI only. I seem to be able to watch through iPlayer even without a VPN for whatever reason.

It's also shown on the BBC sport website usually

68-19 now, we've leaked a couple of simple tries, probably due to just cruising a bit.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Will be absolutely gutted if Coetzee is gone long term again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 971 ✭✭✭Scythica

    Completely forgot about this match.

    Were zebre just that bad?

Anyone hold up their hand for potential Ireland selection next week? (Payne or olding I guess is all)

Haven't seen it yet but reading above didn't he limp off?

If that's the case then maybe it isn't an ACL tear.

He limped off but was practically carried by two medical staff.

Just watching this game now. The pass from Payne to Marshall for the 2nd try was just class.
