Time of year for weaners

Hi all, I'm considering getting a couple of weaners, used to keep them a few years ago, but a little rusty now. Just wondering if there are any considerations in regards to time of year..is it really a bit early to be getting them? I have a small shed that is perfect for them & plenty of well-fenced space..I'm just wondering about the 'ideal time' to get them.

It is coming into the time of year for them. As long as the piglets are outdoor reared then you should have no problem with your accommodation once it is well bedded with straw.
Remember in order to keep pigs you must have a pig herd number with the Dept of Agriculture. If you previously had a pig herd number it's probably become dormant due to not having animals on your holding for a number of years.
