Is it possible to game share digital libraries on the switch?

My brother might be buying one for himself so it would b cool to be able to share games like you can on xbox/playstation.

    Anyone? :)

I'm not 100% Micky but if you put your account on his Switch I think he should have access to your digital games.

Edit: not sure how that would affect online saves on your side though?

Looks like you can share but not duplicate so no buying one digital pokemon and both playing at same time

Just got my daughter a switch for Christmas, will I need to get an additional memory card?

Also when setting up the account online. She is 6 so do I set her up by herself and obviously oversee it or do I set it up as a family and she has a profile?

A decent size memory card is very cheap now. No reason to get one immediately. They may be even cheaper in January.

    Regarding the Parental controls:

In light of the ongoing Qubic Games chart-hack/freebie giveaway, I thought it might be interesting to discuss their games and what people have thought of them.

I own Brawl and Super Hero Fight Club already - I found Brawl a real disappointment as I had hoped it would be a Bomberman clone with better graphics but it muddles itself with unnecessarily fiddly additional gimmicks, and I got bored of it within half an hour or so. Super Hero Fight Club is a bit better - it feels like the mobile port it is (particularly the limited music and sound effects bank), but the gameplay isn't bad and it can be addictive in a "one more go" sort of way. I haven't played multiplayer yet but my experience with Stick Fight: The Game multiplayer suggests that this could be where SHFC shines.

Onto the freebies - I got a free download of Colouring Book to start the chain, but have no interest in even looking at it. I've previously played the Robonauts demo and thought it was alright - not worth paying much for, but decent enough and worth nabbing for free. Geki Yaba Runner is another mobile port and, well, if they as publishers can't be arsed providing a video on the store page, I'm not arsed keeping it installed. Puzzle Book is another nope from me, because it looks like a minimal-effort affair (maximum of 60 pieces per puzzle? Pfft). One Strike is a retro-looking one-hit fighting game - I tried it and got bored within 10 minutes, because it felt a bit shallow and like a simplistic knock-off of more polished games like DiveKick or Lethal League.

Today's offering, Wreckin' Ball Adventure, is the first one I was legitimately interested in based on the eShop listing. Koloro and #RaceDieRun both look promising as well, and Rekt might be fun too (though I suspect it'll compare poorly to Super Mario Kart 8 Dx and Rocket League, both of which I own...). I'm utterly uninterested in Mana Spark and whatever the Mystery Game is, because nothing in their catalogue jumps out at me as definitely being a step up from what I've seen so far.

Anyone else want to share their thoughts on these games?

Got an email from Nintendo telling me some of my coins are going to expire, didnt think that was a thing, bit mad. Would have spent it on my last digital purchase if i knew they were going to be that stingy.

Back to buying second hand games then i guess

Does the eshop have any sales coming up before the end of the month?

They have just released a new sale on top of the stuff that was already discounted, Picked up FFVII and Mario Rabbids!

Just having a look and if you're talking coins that you'll lose anyway:
NOT A HERO - I've not played the Switch port, but I love the PC version. It's a side-on original-GTA/Hotline-Miami style thing, but much sillier and funnier (IMO). UK price is £2.33.

Time Recoil - a pretty good top-down shooter with a time-travel story and slow-mo/combo mechanics built in. UK price is £1.19. (It's good but I found Mr. Shifty better - unfortunately, Mr. Shifty isn't discounted so is still selling for £13.50).

Machinarium - this is a lovely point-and-click adventure thing. Though I have played the Steam version, not the port. UK price is £3.59.

    Hope this helps :)

I only just bought a switch (With botw) and not allowed to touch it until Christmas Day so still getting up to speed with everything.

I’m aware of the Nintendo tax so I’m being cautious on what to buy and when.

What remains of Edith finch has been on my steam wish list for a while, where it’s currently 7.99. it’s 13.99 on the Nintendo shop. Now it hardly makes sense for this to be double the price? Or does it? Maybe the portability aspect makes me want to get it on the switch...

What are people’s thoughts on this sort of thing?

    Thanks

Thanks Fysh, I'll take a look.

And yeah you will more often than hardly ever, pay extra for games on the switch, the Pc/steam versions will always be much cheaper. Thats the only issue with Nintendo/Switch, its a rare occurrence you will find a bargain on the switch, but with some games, the portability makes it worth it :)

A few more sale options that might be worth a look:

6180 The Moon - a sort of puzzle platformer, I found this a really nice and relaxing game to play in between bigger, more mentally involved games. UK price £1.79.

Ape Out - this is a thing of beauty and one of my favourite games of recent years. A minimalist top-down action game, it plays sort of like a jazz Hotline Miami with procedurally generated levels - and it's brilliant. You will splat many, many guntoting humans as you lead your ape to freedom, with a dynamically-generated jazz drum soundtrack, and it will be glorious. UK price £6.74 - on the steep side for "I have some coins to use up", but it's an absolute cracker of a game.

If you have any fondness for the 16-bit era, some of the Sega Ages titles are on sale for between £2.99 and £4 - Thunder Force IV, Puyo Puyo (Original), Out Run and Space Harrier.

So when you put in the card details it will just take the SA currency from that SA account on your card?

So when you want to play games from say your Russian account do you need to switch over anything in your switch device?

No just download the game to your Switch using the Russian/SA account. I play all my games on my main Irish account.

So has anyone won anything on the Festive Calendar? Wonder if they notify the day after or later.
I don't expect to win anyway
