Girls new episode

Has anyone seen the latest episode of Girls 'American Bitch'?  It's very thought provoking but I think it was designed that way as Lena Durham had a game plan with it.

I don't want to say too much because of spoilers.  It's definitely in line with the new age feminism and it's highlighting 'rape culture' in a way but it just does not sit right with me.

I feel manipulated by the writers not the actual story.  Like when I take a step back and contextualize it I realise that their message is being forced upon us a bit.  It's hard to discuss unless people have seen it.

Not sure if here is the appropriate place to discuss TV specifically, particularly if people haven't seen it.

However if you want to try start a discussion around the topic, feel free. I haven't seen the episode but I think there is room for discussion on new age feminism/rape culture.

Sorry but i dont see what we can actually post here that is appropriate? Its a women-centric programme and topic the OP is trying to discuss.

This forum has died a death recently. I welcome any new threads here but very few seem to be "appropriate".

I'm not sure what your issue is here Parchment. All I posted was that this isn't the place to discuss a TV show (we have a TV forum to discuss specific TV shows), however that the OP is welcome to start a discussion around the topic that they were more than welcome.

I have never seen the TV show. I have no idea what the show is about, or what this particular episode is about, but I would be interested in discussing feminism/rape culture on the forum. Which is what I said in my post:

Also, feel free to PM with any issues you have with the forum. We're open to constructive criticism and are willing to discuss with anyone and figure out ways to liven the forum up.
