Good to have a bona fida Major as a nice break from the drudgery of the PL.

Starts Friday afternoon from Minehead with the first round draw here. Plenty of unknown names who won 'HighScore over 9 darts' pub qualifiers, but good luck to them anyway.

More familiar names in Round 2 and then the top players get involved in Round 3 on Friday night at the Last 64 stage.
An open draw after every round.

MVG out of the DPL tonight (Chizzy plays twice instead) and a doubt for the UK Open. Back injury.

UK Open is a great tournament, the open draw makes it.

It's a pity two of the Irish lads got drawn against each other. Willie O'Connor is playing Steve Lennon in round 2.

Shocking how far Paul Nicholson has fallen that he can't even qualify for a comp where the Top 96 on the Order of Merit get in.

Also no Corey Cadby which is disappointing after the way he burst onto the scene late last year.

Could be a bit of value backing Anderson now and being in a good spot if MVG doesn't make it.

Only Paddies and BetfairSB have kept the outright market up.

Taylor must be a bit sick mind you, only just noticed he didn't bother trying to qualify. Could have started as joint favourite.

Snakes. Should have known they'd be ahead of the game.

Yeah was surprised Taylor didn't bother, this one could have been a good chance for him with the open draw.

He didn't enter any of the qualifiers, he must be back in Australia doing their tour.

Shame for MVG to miss it and not be able to defend his title. He must really be in a lot of pain.

Does open up the tournament though. Wright is in top form, must really fancy a run at it.

Would love to see Wright win.He played well last night and always seems to be there abouts but fails at the last hurdle.

Lewis 20/1 looks a bit of value to me.

Playing well in the premier league the last couple of weeks. Nightmare draw but has a good record vs Wade who isn't playing great at the moment.

Will O Connor and Gurney comfortably through to round 4.

Agree that Lewis looks like the value, reckon Wright will flatter to deceive again!

Missus relegated me to the other tv that's about 16" so when I turned on the darts I thought Richardson was Taylor grumpy twin!

Just on the many darts Twitter accounts I follow. The PDC and LiveDarts are pretty good and are updating the results as games finish.

    Good match.

Lewis scoring was great, up those doubles and he will be hard to beat.

Very dramatic game that one. Anderson's dart bouncing out of bull for deciding leg

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,045 ✭✭✭✭gramar

Cracking match between Hogan and Anderson.
Anderson had the bull to win only to see it fall out of the red bit for the second time in the match.

6s now after Ando getting robbed.

That was the sickest bounce out since his 180 vs Taylor in the world final. Unlucky man.

I think he struggles under pressure. Had a poor last leg too when VdV couldn't hit anything.

They should be showing Lews v Hogan. RvB v Ron is as dull as dishwater.

Hogan always reminds me of Rory from Mrs Browns boys...

Yep. Frustrating that they won't switch

Barney is laying down a marker accoring to Rod Studd. Winning 7-3 against a chap whose average is in the mid 80's.
He could be laying pipe and he'd still be winning.
