No can do. Mr. X was enough for me this year :pac:

Ah go on! I will admit I had to pause certain parts of the game while I built up the courage to try and escape from you know what...

Anyone that is a fan of the Alien flims/lore has to play this game.

Yep, it's a must for any Alien fan. It's the game that has done the universe the most justice.
    Atmosphere out the wazoo!

Hadn't been as nervous since my first playthrough of Dead Space.

I went back to this in the last fortnight after getting frustrated with being stuck in an area that's a semi-circular med bay.
    Still stuck.

What has you stuck? Lost or that the specimen is hunting you relentlessly?

The specimen. I'm locked in a area that I'm sure I have to find a way out of because the Alien is not going away.

I know exactly where you are and I think I remember what you are likely missing. This is the area where there are a few med bays that you can enter into yeah?

    Yes!

I'm out in a semi-circular corridor and there's a few med bays I can go in and out of.

I can't move more that 10 metres without himself breathing down my neck.

I would make a noise and then hide under a bed/desk or hide in a locker and just wait at least 10 mins. Just go make a cup of tea. It will eventually head up into the vents allowing you to crawl around. You should be able to get what you need and get out of there.

    I do like tea...

Ok cool man, cheers. I'll give it a go over the weekend.

I fired up Ori last night. I was absolutely positive I'd played it before but the absence of a save file says otherwise. Absolutely LOVE it! So that's what I want to get stuck into tonight. Dying to get home...

Started playing Mutant Year Zero there recently, it's really scratching my XCOM itch. Love that they refer to the "Brexit Isles" as well, reflecting the reality of Brexit stretching on for centuries.

Oh God, that game is fantastic. I loved it to bits. Best part when they find current age items and give them their own explanation. Boom box was the best. :D
After such disappointing x com 2, it was so satisfying to play this great little gem.

One of the best implementations of the Kinect back in the day. Not the head tilt to peek out from behind cover, but the microphone listening and the Alien being attracted to noise in your room... I remember being in one particularly difficult bit, being sneaky as not to be detected and my phone rang.

Bloody Xenomorph found me straight away and had a nice snack.

Mutant Year Zero is amazing. In some ways its better than XCOM. I think the characters in Mutant are great.

If you are into these kind of games you need to check out Phoenix Point. New game coming out developed by Snapshot Games (the developers of XCOM). Its very very like XCOM but looks great. I have been tracking it for awhile now and I am looking forward to it.

Think I hit agility level 4 by the time I was finished. Driving was lagging behind though. Explore away, there's not a lot to see though.

Apparently Just Cause 4 has been added to Game Pass today. Didn't hear much about it.

Not on my app, but downloaded via browser no issues.
I actually really enjoyed just cause 3, it's a bit repetitive, but one of the few Xbox games I finished.

Apparently another big game added to game pass tomorrow.

Yeah shows up on browser as part of Game Pass. Not the type of game I'd rush out to buy but will give it a lash if its on Game Pass. Only released early December

    Just Cause 4 - March 6
    LEGO Batman 2 - March 6
    F1 2018 - March 14
    Fallout 4 - March 14

Bethesda must be desperate for cash after Fallout 76 to bring Fallout 4 back to Game Pass so soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,574 ✭✭✭ZiabR

Nice, will give F1 2018 a go for sure.

Yeah, I think Minecraft is coming in April. Reach is being added to Halo, free for Game Pass.

Quick question about game pass for you guys.
I got rid of my xbox awhile ago because I just wasn't using it since I bought the Switch. But there are a few games on the Game Pass service that I would like to play. Can they be played through my laptop if I sign up for the service? And has anyone any good recommendations for streaming from laptop to TV if I wanted to go down that route?

    Cheers in advance.

I thought Just Cause 3 was a lot of fun.....its bizarre I think Just Cause 4 is a worse game, bar the graphics etc, the tasks are even more repetitive than the last one, plus you cant just invade a place at random you have to build up these weird credit things and it has to be on the "frontline" of a place you already control.

There's a few games on Game Pass that you can play on PC, but to get the most out of it, you really need an Xbox to play the vast majority of them.

Downloaded Just Cause 4. I never really played the previous versions all the way through, but they are great for just a casual mess about.

I've never played Minecraft, ok as a single player game?
