I don't use wireless charging and I don't know what a DAC is but I'm not sure if I heard correct but in a YouTube video I thought the guy said fast charging is US only? I guess he meant the wirless charging.

Pity about the battery yet again. Who needs a 4k screen on a phone?

A proper battery would be nice, around 5k mAH, less of the gimmicks.

This phone is amazing. I like the simple idea of rounded corners and original aspect ratio with a very thin bezels. Well done LG.

***k the wireless charching, I wouldn't use it even if it was there.

I have to say I like it, just as an alternative to the moany start to the thread, and I don't know Pat where you are getting the idea of the G5 being hard to find, i found the one I'm typing this on right now handy enough in argos.

Only issue for me is the G5 is running great, best phone I've owned yet, will be hard to justify a change.

Noooo. The one major manufacturer that still let me carry a spare battery.

Lovely looking phone, disappointed with the regional specs would much prefer to have wireless charging and the dac.
They would be so much better off holding on for the snapdragon 835 instead of release top of the range spec phone just for the sake of couple months and be outdated but specs arent everything

Very true for me the 821 doesn't bother me, do like the phone, i think bit more then the s8 but will wait for the s8 and camera samples before considering buying either one.
would had been nice to have dual camera on the s8, love this on the lg g5

Not to bothered with the wireless charger, i have been using a magnetic charging cable on my tablets and phone and its so much handier then the pad specially when charging in the car.

If you are buying unlocked check amazon and all different marketplaces the prices can vary alot.

This year i cant say there is smartphone that makes me departure from the g5 or S7 edge, i do like both designs but internals there nothing appealing.

Amazon uk (limited to them or argos because I have a one4all card) don't send to Ireland and I am not really confortable sending through parcel motel something so valuable.

The LG G6 at first sight, construction and overall quality seems to be a great device..but the internals are not that appealing when compared withe the S8.

I've sent more than one flagship through parcel motel. There's no issues. You can pay a little extra for increased liability if you're worried.

I suspect that the price of this phone will drop drastically.
Its already in yaphone.net (spanish store) for 579€.

    Why do you say that?

The current price is too close to the S8 which has more recent hardware.

has anyone ordered from yaphone before? thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 76 ✭✭Halflifept

I'm interest in buying from that store, but I wasn't able to find any feedback / review.
The adress of yaphone is the same as DVDAndorra which is as well known website.

    Edit:
Found some feedback here in Spanish, http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1263082&page=5

Seems that will be avaialable at littlewoods ireland....for 909€! Ridiculous.

Do amazon.de sell to here? I tried amazon.it the other day and they won't ship to Ireland or the UK.

Im looking at a listing on de at the moment and it says delivery available to Ireland.

That is just ridiculous. Argos prices seemed to went up lately.
They were OK previously...now is bad deals all over the place.
Everything tech related (laptops, phones) are all overpriced.

If it's a brand new item they usually charge more for for a few days at first, then they'll put it on'sale' for the normal price.

Thing is they are listed on lg.co.uk as authorised resellers and are selling it for £650 on argos.co.uk.

Have used eglobal twice now and they are bang on. Phones seem to come from Asia usually but are brand new and come with correct plugs etc. Was looking at the g6 there too and may pull the trigger

    Very bad feedback here.

The EU store has a little better feedback.

Finally arrived and she's a thing of beauty. An update straight out of the box. Feels more solid in the hand compared to the S8+. Photos look superb, UI is nice and smooth. Came with a 2 pin plug as expected as it's Amazon Italy. Too early to comment on battery.

Only have it a few days, so will report back later. Any questions, fire away.

Hmmm I see its listed at €559 now on amazon.it
