Italy really could do with having 2 of their 40 min spells where they pretend not to be crap in the same game at some stage.

The phrase 'game of two halves' clearly doesn't have a direct translation in Italian.

They only ever seem to play a single one.

It translated very well into Scotch Gaelic yesterday.

Can someone explain why the Italian flanker was allowed to stand where he did?

    No ruck, no offside.

Lads, I thought the ball had to leave your hands on a quick tap, no? Is it ok to just bring your toe to the ball while is in hand like Care did there?
It did leave his hands, just about but if definitely did. Go back and watch it.

Didn't look like it in the replays, but fair enough if it did. Looked to me like he had hands on it at all times.

Poite has made a balls of this. He blew the whistle so can't award the try regardless. What is he at.

What law? You can't have a law for the absence of something.

Do they need to change the tackle law is what I'm saying.

Its a bit like the 'choke' tackle I think. Fully legal as the laws are written, but more of a loop hole that wasnt really foreseen or in the intention of the laws. But you plays them as written I suppose. I couldnt object if either were something that were closed off though.

Hardly possible that England won't get a bonus. 20 minutes to do it.

Poite is the ideal ref to have for this game IMO.

Still confined to barracks.....TG for matches on TV.
