    Too many sad/angry/mad threads!

    I'm thankful/grateful for;
My family, all in good health, even like the 'in laws' all sound, decent people
My health, hardly ever even get a cold.
My job, I like it, everyday brings something new
My job, pays enough money that I am comfortable
My friends, some going back 30 years, can say or do anything, we accept each other & have a great laugh together.
There's plenty to give out about or feel down about , but on the bright side things are good!

So cmon guys, what makes you feel good in your life?

My parents for giving me good advice and guidance along the way even if I didn't always appreciate it at the time.

I'm especially grateful that by chance and/or instinct I was with my father when he passed away on Christmas morning last. He had been sick but normally on Christmas Day we'd call out there in the evening. This time at 8.30am I said to my Mrs that we'd head out there as I felt he hadn't much time left and I wanted to spend time with him. She just said ok and we got there for 9.15 and he passed at 10. I was just so glad that I made that decision.

My dad was a great man for Christmas as well - loved dressing up and making a fool of himself and anyone else that was around and loved the occasion of it. In a strange way it suited him to go that day as it actually made it the most family orientated Christmas we'd had in many years !!

    My family.
My current situation. Comfortable life. Own business, nice house, no real worries or concerns.
That I had a fantastic parent who gave me the best childhood and taught me so much.
That nobody close to me is struggling right now.

Life itself. At my age a reality of gratitude all day every day. We need so little and have so much. Old song... " I have sixpence, jolly jolly sixpence, I have sixpence to last me all my life. I have twopence to spend, twopence to lend and twopence to take home to my wife."

My version always enough to give some to someone who has less .

This morning. for the sweet silence after the storm yesterday!

Having read many threads on this forum, and encountered many females in college, I can truly say that I am grateful for my wife. After almost 27 years of marriage it would be easy to forget how kind, generous, caring, loving and forgiving she is. Not to mention supportive, trusting and most important of all......sane.

When I encounter today's generation I can't help but agree with my sons and daughter when they say
"bitches be crazy" (bitches is also used to describe some men in my household)

    :)

(some) millennials are just nuts in their world view and attitudes.

I'm grateful to be able to run.

Several years ago I had all sorts of tests done as it was feared I had a debilitating illness which would have changed my life and my ability to do normal everyday things. Thankfully I got the all clear and I am now healthier and fitter than I have ever been. For that I am truly grateful.

Im grateful that I live in a country where mother nature doesn't go out of its way to try and kill you, no large predatory animals, no snakes or other poisonous creatures that can kill you. No killer floods, earthquakes massive forest fires

like most on here , im grateful for the basics, that myself and the other half are healthy and have a good stable relationship now after the usual trouble and strife of rearing a family . Kids happy and healthy and doing ok and i think reasonably stable and on the straight and narrow .I can pay the bills as they come in and if we fancy a holiday we can go but we're also happy with the simple thing like a sunday drive and a cup of coffee somewhere or maybe just a snooze in the chair of an afternoon just content with the peace and quiet
So ya, very grateful for the way things are

    Indoor toilets.

Cant imagine what it was like to need a wizz during the night and having to go to the outhouse during a cold and windy night like we have had recently.

Ah we did not do that; we all had potties under the bed for night time use. I am serious by the way... first job early was to empty them.

    Older ones had a commode.
