Not a bad Scarlets team but Munster will cruise this, a BP win is not unlikely

Weather forecast isn't great. Will keep scoreline down probably.

Van der Merve and Tadhg Beirne are two to watch out for, Munster should be too well stocked though.
Looking forward to seeing what Goggin and Oliver can produce, and a good chance for Conway to score a try off the bench!
Hope Wycherley gets decent amount of time to make an impact.

"In making five changes to the side that grinded out the win against Ospreys last weekend this Friday's game comes too soon for Jack O'Donoghue and Rory Scannell.

O'Donoghue (ankle) and Scannell (knee) are expected to make a return to full training at some point next week."

Weather forecast isn't great. Will keep scoreline down probably.

The weather forecast for this evening is 20km/h wind with 50% likelihood of rain. (I take that to mean showery/intermittent rain.)
Not the best but not the worst conditions for a game.
Not bad enough to make it a low scoring affair anyway I think.

Bookies have us 8 points better than scarlets. I would have guessed 10/11 so I think we should cover that.

Should be an entertaining encounter between 2 good sides.

Any other channel showing this game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Doesn't look like it. S4C isn't showing any rugby and BBC Two Wales is showing Edinburgh v Cardiff.

    This too shall pass.

Penalty to Scarlets? Though that was just a knock on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Edgy start. Nice play between Tuate and ROM but another knock on after that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,902 ✭✭✭budhabob

Fairly error ridden start, good physicality though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

Pacy, breathless stuff. No-one's able to hold the ball for very long. Scarlets a bit better on that front though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

That would have been a sublime offload from Sweets had it come off...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Pretty entertaining so far.

Would like to see us get off the mark on the scoreboard soon though.

    Haha there we go.

    Beaut of a try. Brilliant.

Both our wings have looked very dangerous so far.

Lovely try there, thought DOC2.0 might have made it, good pace from him.

O'Mahony is looking good tonight. Great offload my Tyler B.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,857 ✭✭✭shootermacg

Taute is just too bloody good in any position! What a clever footballer.

Beautiful offload and DOC2 showed good wheels. Hint of forward off final pass but certainly nothing clear.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,526 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

Nice quick pass from Saili, not being greedy looking for the try himself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Annoying offside penalty. Scarlets gone nowhere with the ball so far and the defense has been good.

Lovely passing there from Saili and Blydog. Nice break by 6 also, bit of a step got him away.

Saili having a good game, my MOTM so far, doesn't seem to have been phased by the citing.

Taute took the try well but making up for some early errors.

Scarlets backfield are having a mare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,902 ✭✭✭budhabob

TB my man of the match so far, seems to have so much time on the ball.

I cant believe my eyes, saili is playing whats in front of him, decent pass, subtle boot....whats happened? Great to see.

Watching the English stream of this and can clearly hear the TG4 commentators in the background! #bestofbothworlds

That Saili chip - we're playing bits of liquid rugby here...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭coco0981

Shingler very lucky not to have got a yellow at last ruck. As deliberate killing the ball as you will see

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Certainly on the limit of a flat pass anyway. No need for it to be so tight.

    Given it.

Whatever happened to the old way of the home team changing shirts in the event of a colour clash? Those Llanelli jerseys are gank.

Taute doesn't help by stopping and running sideways as soon as he passes the pass :D

Might get away with that but a bit needless from Taute, with the amount of time he spends in centre he should have more control than that on such a critical pass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭coco0981

Lucky to get away with that pass. A lot of refs wouldn't give it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,526 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

Thought it was a bit forward. Would have not been happy if scored by them! Entertaining game so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

That was marginally forward for me but I'm happy to take the points.

Christ Tyler B is a class act

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,857 ✭✭✭shootermacg

That defense! Long kick is almost as good as a kick to touch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Not getting much from our maul anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,857 ✭✭✭shootermacg

Not getting much from our maul anyway

To be fair we are giving up some grunt in the back row.

He's passing fairly well and kicking from tee is top notch but his tactical kicking is second rate tbh. Isn't finding touch or space these last few games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Scarlets player lying on our side of the ruck and it's their penalty? Poor call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,902 ✭✭✭budhabob

How did the ref miss sweetnams knock on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    Pissed through them.
