Stuck in a rut!

Hey guys, I'm a 27 year old woman and in the last couple of months I've found myself stuck in a rut. I have a great job which I love but I finish work so early and I am home alone for the rest of the day. I am bored and cannot get motivated to do anything. All my friends seem to be busy or live in Australia and I find myself alone a lot and lately I have become quite depressed. Has anyone any ideas of things I can do to pick myself back up or any clubs I can join to meet new people and make friends? Thanks X

Hi, get a little dog. Walking is good for you, good for your mental health and a great companion. Life in your late twenties/thirties can get monotonous alright, get up, go to work, do some activity if you can, a bit of telly and then bed. Rinse and Repeat. Make most of your weekends and do an evening class perhaps.

Hey do you live at home or with friends?
Are you a teacher is that why you finish work early? joining some sort of group would be good.

    Gym after work.
Cook meal from scratch when you get home.
    Evening classes.
A pet is a great distraction.

So sorry to hear OP... It is very hard being the only one left, I feel you pain..

Please don't get a pet just to fill time that wont solve anything for now, maybe signing up for dog walking or pet sitting if you did fancy it first... Pet Sit on line might be able to help or stick an add up in the local shop...

The clubs or gyms are great if you can find a good local one.. Clubs can be a closed too which can be disappointing..
Have you ever tried working in a bar perhaps during they day or when you time is free, really good way to get chatting to people and fills your time...And you are so tied after all you will want to do is sleep..

Volunteer with some local community based group

Dublingirl, join Meetup.com, they have loads of social events going on in Dublin. You'll meet plenty of fun, interesting people.
