Has anyone experience of using Nest Protect in conjunction with Philips Hue lights?

I know they can integrate via IFTTT and directly, but I'm wondering if anyone has practical experience of it.

I'm wondering if I can use the motion sensor on the Nest Protect to trigger Hue lights, rather then having to get a separate Hue motion detector.

What is the range of the Nest Protect motion detector? As good as the Hue one?

And does the Nest Protect have light level sensor and can it also be used when triggering the lights or not?

I think due to the role of the Protect, that of a potentially life saving piece of equipment, they don't expose any thing useful to trigger automations. It's a pity as there is quite a few sensors packed into it.

I've integrated it into Smartthings and also Home Assistant, but only what the app tells you, i.e. you're not on fire.

I haven't come across anyone making use of the motion/light level or any other sensor.

Booo... Thanks for that info Roen. The Nest Protect was going to go exactly the same place where I'll now have to place a Hue Motion Sensor so! :(
