I use the fitbit blaze and I love it.

Best thing to do is look up the different models and choose whatever suits you best.

What do you want it for, ie what list of features do you want.

Or you could save yourself a fortune and get a Xiaomi Mi Band 1 or 2.

Has anyone here any experiences with the Mi Bands? I'd like a fitness tracker but don't want to shell out £100+ for my first one.

Is it compatible with an app/website for tracking?

You should check out the Withings Steel HR, I've one on order should be here in the next few days selling my fitbit HR 2 then I think. Going for the withings as its waterproof and the battery lasts a month.
The HR 2 is fantastic and I've road tested a lot of smart watches, the app and notifications are brilliant.
All I want in a smart watch is, heart rate, activity, notifications, waterproof, great battery and to be discrete. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those 2 watches, maybe a bit over budget but well worth it, I'd put the HR 2 down as one of the best gadgets to live with daily. It becomes part of you.

My wife had the Mi Band, the battery life was something like 6 months, she wanted to monitor steps and sleep, it did both. I then got her a Mi Band 2 for the display and heartbeat, the battery life dropped but was still pretty good and only cost $40. My Fitbit HR2 stopped working a few weeks ago so I got a replacement Band 2 for about $20. It links to an IOs App. My only bugbear is that it only monitors heart beat when selected, its not constant. The FB HR2 started working again so i wore both of them for about a week to compare, they were quite close to each other for steps, sleep and heart beat.
As all of these are intended to be indicators rather than 100% reliable, the Mi is excellent value.

I'm very happy with the Charge 2. Nearly didn't order as the more I tried to read reviews etc the more confused I got, find one with the main features you want and go for it.

Ok 24hrs with the Withings Steel HR

Watch itself nice size not heavy (I went with the 36), looks exactly like a watch not a smart watch.
Set up was simple and pretty cool adjusting the time hands from your phone.
Needed to be charge as came with 50% charge, found the charger fiddly to connect to the watch, it's a simple circle it sits on but needs a bit of adjusting before it connects correctly.

Then things go horribly wrong, the app is terrible in comparison to the Fitbit, it does the basics but as far as giving any motivation to move it's not existent.
The heart rate monitor at this stage I feel it's making it up, it seems to take samples rather than continuous which causes it to miss the highs and lows, my resting hearth rate is 14bpm higher compared to the Fitbit.
Sleep pattern is at completely at add odds with what Fitbit usually reports.

Right now I'm thinking fantastic product let down terribly by a bad app and questionable reporting.
I'll keep plugging away for a few more days but I'm tempted to put back on the Fitbit and "win the day".
Let you now how I get on over the next few days, my recommendation for anyone buying today the Fitbit HR 2 is hard to beat mainly down to the excellent app.

Smart function wise there pretty similar, no need to go near your phone to see who's calling.

I'm looking at the charge 2 myself ,but I'm very put off by the lack of waterproofing, why they didn't make it waterproof is a real mystery

That's why I'm after switching to the withings steel hr, if you don't need any motivation (which a lot of people don't). It could be the one for you.
