Renewing an expired learner permit

Just wanted to get some clarification on how renewing an expired learner permit works. This is my first learner permit, which I got two years ago and it just expired a couple of days ago. I'm heading down to the NDLS centre this weekend to renew it. Is it necessary to have a driving test booked to renew for a second learner permit? Or is this only the case when you are renewing for a third learner permit?

No need for a test booking. If all your personal details are the same and you haven't lost the permit or anything, all you'll need now is €35, a D201 form and the old permit.

Great, thanks :) Have the form already filled out, so I'm good to go.
