Has anyone ever called Charles Piutau "Prince Charles"?

Mark Robson seems to think that's what he is called in Belfast!

Mark Robson thinks Sean Cronin is called "The Candyfloss Man" in Dublin

Good defence from Ulster so far. Need to get the ball though. Choke tackle not working.

I thought it was The Sugarman?

He called someone the candyfloss man, but I think you're right about Cronin beaing The Sugarman

Very lucky there, Madigan butchered that. A flat pass would have done it.

Pack have to take responsibility for that one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

That looks bad for Shanahan and he should have done better but Reidy and the scrum did him no favours there.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    That's not Daves fault.

Doing the housework is looking an appealing alternative to this

Most of the responsibility. Wee Dave still should have done better.

He has had a tough start. Three turnovers and 7 points have come from his errors I'm afraid.

Not Shanahan's fault but it might hurt his confidence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    4 turnovers now.

    This is painful

Indeed. Suffering this and then having to cheer for Toulon later:mad:....

Shanahan must have pissed in Reidy's cornflakes

Lovely kick by Shanahan - that'll help his confidence.

Nice move - WELL DONE ULSTER!

Big balls on him to take that kick on after his start. Hopefully he'll settle down

Yeah it was a good kick from Shanahan.

And Ulster get good reward with a nice try.

Great work from Henderson initially and Shanahan linked well with Paddy who puts Trimble in really well.

that must be the first time diack going for the line has actually ended well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    Horrible horrible pass from Madigan.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Madigan the butcher.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Awful restart.

    Shanahan saves the day......good man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Good tackle from Shanahan there on Cross.

Vital turnover. Good stuff from Henderson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    Henderson has started well.

Good to see him taking the lead with the referee as well.

    Not watching, how's Madigan doing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

I'm pretty sure that if you paused the tell there and zoomed in, Doak was holding a piece of paper that said "Head Coach contract: 2017/2018" there

    Ulser scrum......

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Scrum is a massive problem :(

Decently apart from butchering a try a couple of minutes ago.

not well but not as bad as the ulster fans will say

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    The scrum is getting murdered.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Poor.

Same as in France, he is holding them back a bit.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

That scrum was just brutal. Never mind the fact that it was 5m from their own try line.

Kitsoff did a job on furlong in SA in the summer it was bound to happen

Butchered a probable try earlier too with a forward pass.

5-17 down I'm seeing? Fuppin' hell.

Is he injured or are they just shoring up the scrum?

I presume it's a result of the scrum getting battered.

In a surprise to nobody, Ulster's approach of not giving a young tighthead any game time at all and then expecting them to start in Europe has not paid off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Ref got that right IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Great maul by Ulster led to that try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Fair play FVDM, looks like he really enjoyed that one
