Yeah. Thought my team wasn't in great shape so decided to WC early. Last year (and this first half of the season) taught me that long-term planning is an utopia. At least for me. Don't have enough local PL knowledge for that and/or not enough time to give to the game. And anyway I think these new chips and the new money of the PL (squads get huger and rotation more usual) both increase the luck element of the game. So planning ahead for a perfect scenario requires some kinda planets alignment as we say in French . So this year I decided to go short-term and if I had gotten Firmino instead of Coutinho (for some reason I never considered it though so can't have any start of a regret), the "coup" would have been almost perfect considering the last 2 GWs.

Anyhow. moved from 301k to 83k kin 2 GWs. So it has worked so far. Let's try and maintain this momentum now .

I'm in a far better position since the WC two weeks back. My mind was not on the game at the end of the year from October to December due to personal reasons and 8 red arrows in a row kinda highlights that. :rolleyes: Almost deleted the team from the leagues and looked to enjoy the rest of the season without FPL.

Gone from 464k to 173k on OR but the main thing is that I have pulled back the league leaders in my cash leagues - one has been cut from 132 to 65 points and the other from 113 to 50 points. That gives me a chance of at least a cash position (third and above). I'm also looking at monthly prize wins this month.

Most importantly, I'm now looking a team that is spoiled for choice, has no concerns over injury or rotation and has good fixtures coming out of it's ears. Ok, so I won't have the option to WC and then benchboost which will be worth alot to my rivals, but had I not used mine, I would be totally out of contention by then anyways.

2FT transfers this week so I can be proactive in my decision making rather than wondering which of my 4-5 awful players will I transfer this week and which will I hope get me a point if they even play (Kone, Origi, Amat, Pickford, Walcott, Bellerin, Mane).

64, giving me modest gains and bringing me up to 168k from 210k. Successful start to the WC, with a lot of the points coming from my shiny new defence. But more importantly feel much better about the team.

If I follow Busts & km79, I got 11 pts from my BB but that's a wrong way to look at it in my opinion that I developped in another thread .

I'd have been happy with 12 + pts. The squad I picked was geared towards it I wouldn't have spent the money I spent on my 15 if there was no BB.

He's one of many that will get cut from my team (to obviously return as a hero later on).

Alonso is my only safe defender.

I actually started messing around with my team and it quickly developed to a -28 by the time I was done :pac:

I got 12 points from my bench players and all 15 started and all but one played the full 90 minutes.

The guy with highest score this gw (116) played bb and it earned him 40 additional points.

74 points and up to 74k.

14 points from the bb, but 5 green arrows in a row have moved me up from over 400k the last few weeks.

Next target is to push into the top 50k
