The thing with something like that is it's a very compact piece of kit and there isn't a whole lot that can go wrong with it. You will essentially have it on the same setting so there won't be any adjusting.

While I don't know what your bad experiences relate to, with something like the compact GHR, I don't really see how it could go pear-shaped.

Is it for home use or for a gym?

Td gym equipment do one but have not used one

I set up my own using one of those cheap doorway sit up bars and a padded mat.

A bizarre fitting t shirt, stitching giving way on a singlet after first use, plates being 2kg over what they should be, etc. I get what you're saying tho.

Seems fair enough that you'd be wary after that litany of sh*t alright. I'd just have thought it'd be difficult for them to make a mess of with nothing to move.

The sliding bolt that hold the pieces in place are notorious for breaking. I've seen them break on top range GHR, I'd expect they definitely go on a cheap model with any sort of use.

If you are using it enough to buy one, you are probably using it enough to break one.

I can understand that but in a gym I'd have thought they were bring relatively regularly moved whereas at a home gym it wouldn'tbe adjusted and wouldn't be used nearly as much.

Fair point, I only only ever do one position on the GHR, as long as thats the case you prob be fine.

In fact if that was the case, you prob be better off replacing the sliding bolts with standard machine bolts and keeping the crap ones intact for any resale opportunities
